Well, that’s it. We’ve reached peak stupidity for the week and it’s only Wednesday.
According to a New York Times report, a television set aboard Air Force One happened to be tuned to CNN when Donald and Melania Trump were traveling overseas, something that allegedly miffed the President.
“On the first couple’s recent trip overseas, Melania Trump’s television aboard Air Force One was tuned to CNN,” the report from Maggie Haberman reads. “President Trump was not pleased.”
Who would be, honestly?
The column claims that Trump has a hard and fast rule that each trip begins by being turned to his news source of choice, Fox, and this breach of rules made him “rage(d) at his staff.”

CNN, upon learning that somebody in America outside of those waiting at an airport, has their television tuned to their channel, couldn’t help but promote the story.
They even decided to seek comment from the First Lady’s office, where she immediately savaged them with a statement from her spokeswoman.
Mrs. Trump will watch “any channel she wants,” one portion of the statement reads.
Straight. Fire.

The statement didn’t stop there, blasting CNN for being concerned about what is playing on television sets aboard Air Force One instead of contacting Mrs. Trump about her ‘Be Best’ initiative.
“Did you know that every 15 minutes a baby is born with NAS? Maybe you’d like to talk about the 160,000 kids who skip school every day for fear of being bullied, or that 280,000 students are physically attacked in schools every month,” spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said.
“Seems kind of silly to worry about what channel she watches on TV (any channel she wants btw) or if she heard some recording on the news.”
Of course, it’s well known the animosity President Trump has for CNN, so the TV report may very well be true. But it’s also important to remember the President has not been kind to the Times’ Haberman for being “a third-rate reporter” and a “Crooked (Hillary) flunkie.”
A third-rate reporter would definitely write a story about what Melania watches on television rather than focusing on the things she has done as First Lady.
- Her ‘Be Best’ campaign has all but been ignored by the media, as have her perpetual goodwill efforts.
- Melania constantly makes surprise visits to local children’s hospitals and charities and does so with a style, and grace, most agree is a breath of fresh air.
- The first lady and Karen Pence, wife of the vice president, traveled to Texas together in the wake of Hurrican Harvey, to offer support and witness the recovery process firsthand.
- Not to mention the fiscal discipline she’s exhibited since entering the White House, slashing staff numbers from Michelle Obama-era levels and reducing the cost of running the White House by $22 million.
But yea, let’s focus on what she’s watching on TV.
