Megyn Kelly Interviews Woman Fired For Flipping Off Trump

Julie Briskman went viral after posting a photo of herself flipping off President Donald Trump’s motorcade. And with great internet fame comes great responsibility. The 50-year-old government contractor has since found herself fired by Akima LLC, the company she worked for.

“He was passing by and my blood just started to boil,” she told the Huffington Post. “I’m thinking, DACA recipients are getting kicked out. He pulled ads for open enrollment in Obamacare. Only one-third of Puerto Rico has power. I’m thinking, he’s at the damn golf course again.”

The photo is below:

Briskman also made the photo her Twitter photo picture, which Akima claims is the reason for her firing. “They said, ‘We’re separating from you,’” Briskman told The Huffington Post, describing the firing. “Basically, you cannot have ‘lewd’ or ‘obscene’ things in your social media. So they were calling flipping him off ‘obscene.’”

After the firing, Megyn Kelly decided to have Briskman on her show for a friendly interview, apparently figuring that her ratings can’t fall any lower. As BizPacReview reported, the studio audience cheered and applauded as Briskman told Kelly “it felt great” to make the obscene gesture to the President.

The opening of the interview went as follows:

MEGYN KELLY: So she went for a bike ride near her Virginia home and wound up becoming a viral sensation. Her picture splashed across Twitter, Facebook, national and international newspapers and websites. Why? Because Julie Briskman decided, on a whim, to give the bird to President Trump’s passing motorcade.

[CHEERS & APPLAUSE]

Briskman – Briskman was head of social media for Akima LLC, but she says she was forced to resign for what she did on her private time. Joining me now to talk about it, Julie Briskman. Julie, thank you for being here.

JULIE BRISKMAN: Thank you so much for having me.

KELLY: So you live in Sterling, Virginia.

BRISKMAN: I do.

KELLY: Which is beautiful country. And there goes President Trump’s motorcade. And what inspired you in the moment to communicate with him in that manner?

BRISKMAN: Well, all my frustration about this administration just weld up inside of me, and I started thinking about all the things that I think are going wrong right now in our country. And that was the only way I had to give him the message that I wanted to give him.

As we reported back in October, not only have ratings plummeted since Megyn Kelly joined the ‘Today’ franchise, “but the numbers show Kelly’s lead-in has also affected Kathie Lee [Gifford] and Hoda Kotb’s show, which follows straight afterwards.”

Here’s more: “Kelly’s hour of ‘Today’ is down 32 percent compared to a year ago. And ‘Kathie Lee & Hoda’ is down 26 percent.”

Some sources are blaming the format of Kelly’s show, which viewers don’t seem to like. Whatever the case, it appears that Kelly is more of a boat anchor than a TV one, sinking whatever show NBC puts her on.

Share this if you think Megyn Kelly is desperate for ratings!
