Last week, we reported that the woke singer Lizzo had been accused of sexual harassment and fat-shaming by some of her former backup dancers. The media personality Megyn Kelly has since responded by questioning these claims, though she also had some choice words for Lizzo that the singer surely will not be happy about.

Kelly Sounds Off

During her eponymous SiriusXM talk show on Monday, Kelly addressed the claims that have been made against Lizzo, who has been accused of fat-shaming her backup dancers and forcing them to take part in degrading sex acts, according to The New York Post.

“Such a role model,” Kelly said sarcastically of Lizzo.

However, Kelly could not help but question these allegations.

“Now I confess, when I first saw this, I was like, ‘Well she’s very famous, she’s probably very rich, and that makes her a target,” she said. “So I don’t necessarily believe the three dancers who came forward to say she created a hostile work environment. Because I have to be honest that the allegation sounds like weak sauce to me.”

‘Morbidly Obese’ Lizzo

Kelly went on to address the claims made by one former backup dancer who alleged that she was fired by Lizzo for gaining weight.

“You know, dancers get fired for gaining weight,” Lizzo allegedly told her.

While Kelly pointed out that this is a valid reason to fire someone in the dancing world, she couldn’t help but take a dig at Lizzo by calling her “morbidly obese.”

“That’s true … The fact that Lizzo is morbidly obese doesn’t change that reality for dancers who are in the professional industry,” Kelly said. “I don’t think that’s hostile work environment.”

“But now since these three filed the lawsuit claiming Lizzo created a hostile work environment, more and more people are coming forward,” the former Fox News host added.

Kelly refused to defend Lizzo from the more salacious claims made against her, however. These allegations include that she forced her backup dancers to touch a nude performer during a sex show in Amsterdam, and that she made these dancers eat bananas that had been inserted into the vaginas of female sex workers in that city.

Needless to say, Kelly was disgusted by these claims.

“The current stream is basically saying that she is really inappropriate sexually … and that indeed could be a hostile work environment,” Kelly said. “Such a role model.”

Lizzo Denies Allegations

Prior to these allegations coming to light, Lizzo had indeed been held up as a role model by the woke left, which often described her as beautiful despite her large physique.

Lizzo has denied all of the allegations made against her by these former backup dancers, who she has tried to portray as disgruntled employees.

“These last few days have been gut wrenchingly difficult and overwhelmingly disappointing,” Lizzo said in a statement, according to Daily Mail. “My work ethic, morals and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed.”

Lizzo went on to describe her accusers as “former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

“I am not here to be looked at as a victim, but I also know that I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be these last few days,” the “Good As Hell” singer later added. “I am very open with my sexuality and expressing myself but I cannot accept or allow people to use that openness to make me out to be something I am not.”

“There is nothing I take more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world. I know what it feels like to be body shamed on a daily basis and would absolutely never criticize or terminate an employee because of their weight,” Lizzo concluded. “I’m hurt but I will not let the good work I’ve done in the world be overshadowed by this. I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support to lift me up during this difficult time.”

At the time of this writing, additional claims have come in against Lizzo that are still being looked into, so it’s not looking too good for her. While we applaud Kelly for keeping an open mind about these unproven allegations, we also share her clear frustration over someone like Lizzo being held up as a “role model” by the woke left.

Perhaps liberals should think a little harder about what celebrities they put up on a pedestal!
