Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been accused of disrespecting an 88 year-old veteran of the U.S. Navy who is a neighbor of theirs in Montecito, California after he simply tried to give them a gift.

Meghan And Harry Snub Elderly Veteran Neighbor

Page Six reported that the elderly U.S. Navy veteran Frank McGinity lives near the ritzy Southern California mansion that Meghan and Harry moved into back in 2020 after stepping down as senior members of the British royal family. In his new memoir “Get Off Your Street,” McGinity alleges that soon after the couple moved in, he approached their mansion in the hopes of welcoming them to the neighborhood by giving them some videos he had made about the history of the area.

“I have a big house next to Harry and Meghan’s property and I live in the guest house while renting the main house out on Airbnb,” McGinity recalled. “Harry and Meghan live on old McCormick property and I went up to their gate with the films on a CD, but they weren’t interested.”

The Navy veteran was stunned when Meghan and Harry’s security detail allegedly turned him away in a rude manner.

“The gate guy turned me away and wouldn’t take the film, just saying ‘they’re not interested.’ I was trying to be neighborly,” McGinity claimed.

“We don’t see them very much around here,” he added. “It’s surprising they came here. People are typically older. It’s where the elephants come to die.”

McGinity went on to say that he lives a “tiara’s toss or two” from the 18,000 square-foot property that Meghan and Harry bought in July of 2020 for $14,650,000. The estate boasts rose gardens, century-old olive trees, a tennis court, a tea house, children’s cottage and a pool.

After this purchases was made, a source close to Meghan and Harry said that it was “the first home either of them has ever owned” and that they were excited to “put down their roots in this house and the quiet community, which has considerable privacy.”

Meghan And Harry Rumored To Be Looking To Move

Meghan and Harry may have changed their tune about living in Montecito, however, as new reports this week allege that they are looking to move to Malibu so that they can be even closer to the city of Los Angeles, where Meghan grew up and spent years working in Hollywood.

“Harry and Meghan are reviewing their living options with Malibu being a place of interest,” a source told The Express. “They have secretly visited the area a couple of times and have been out and about, looking at what’s there.”

“And Meghan knows parts of the region from being there as a kid,” this insider continued. “It is uncertain if they will sell Montecito or just add a Malibu spot to buy. The move consideration comes as Meghan is shifting gears and focus back to Hollywood with WME.”

This was a reference to Meghan recently signing with the talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME), which represents A-list stars like Ben Affleck, Whoopi Goldberg, Matt Damon, and more.

Meghan And Harry Desperate To Go Hollywood

“Being close to Beverly Hills and L.A. where the deals are done is smart,” the insider explained. “And of course there is a real Malibu scene where major stars, producers and studio executives all hang out, socialize and get deals done during dinner and beach parties.”

“Meghan has friends who live in the area and she likes spots like Soho House,” the source concluded. “Certainly Prince Harry and Meghan would be welcome at many major parties and would be desired guests.”

Since stepping down as senior royals, Meghan and Harry have shown time and again that there is nothing that they are more interested in than being part of the Hollywood “in” crowd. After seeing how disrespectful they have been towards the entire British royal family, it sadly comes as no surprise that they also treated an elderly veteran neighbor so poorly.

In the end, McGinity should find comfort in knowing that he’s better off without neighbors like Meghan and Harry in his area. For his sake, we hope that they really do leave Montecito, as a patriotic veteran like him deserves far better neighbors than them!
