Media Mocked For Attacking Republican Madison Cawthorn – A Christian – For Trying To Convert Others To Christianity

Madison Cawthorn Christianity Daily Beast

The Daily Beast tried to gin up controversy with an ‘exposé’ on Representative-elect Madison Cawthorn, whose lone crime appears to be sharing his Christianity with others.

The column, written by Pilar Melendez, begins with a headline that screams: “Newly Elected GOP Congressman Madison Cawthorn Has Tried to Convert Jews to Christianity.”

“Madison Cawthorn … has admitted he tried to convert Jews and Muslims to Christianity,” Melendez wrote.

The piece reveals that the North Carolina Republican “admitted” to the ‘Jewish Insider’ that he had converted “several Muslims to Christ” and several “culturally Jewish people” as well.

Daily Beast Shredded For Attacking Madison Cawthorn’s Faith

Many social media followers lambasted the Daily Beast’s feeble attempt at shaming Cawthorn for his religious beliefs.

Writer Drew Holden had a laugh by revealing the crushing scandal lying beneath the surface of the big Beast reveal.

“Spoiler,” he wrote. “Christian evangelical is, in fact, both Christian and evangelical.”

Others pointed out that Cawthorn’s conversion of Muslims to Christianity is vastly different than the way some other devoutly religious people sometimes handle their conversions.

RedState ran a column slamming the non-controversy controversy fomented by the Daily Beast.

“Cawthorn’s comment was obviously just an innocent expression of his belief,” they write. “People are allowed to share their faith in this country, and others are allowed to respond to that sharing as they see fit.”

The Left’s War on Christianity and Christmas

The Cawthorn controversy is yet another piece of evidence that the left will never relent on their war against Christianity.

Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett was very recently smeared as the left tried desperately to link Barrett’s church to the dystopian novel “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Her nomination process was a good reminder that California Senator Dianne Feinstein famously questioned Barrett’s religion, saying “so many of us on this side have this very uncomfortable feeling” about her faith, because “the dogma lives loudly within you.”

And then, there’s this – a Wisconsin Examiner reporter mocking Republicans for caring so much about the word Christmas.

The reporter pointed out that Democrat Governor Tony Evers referred to decorations made by schoolchildren as “holiday ornaments” and not “Christmas” ornaments.

Peppered throughout the piece are condescending analogies to war, references to brutal battles, and lying low in trenches.

“The Republicans in the Wisconsin State Legislature have been hunkered down in their trenches — not passing any bills as they wait for the COVID-19 pandemic to disappear — but Evers’ shot across the bow may stir them for another brutal and bloody battle in Wisconsin’s culture war,” they wrote.

Get it? It’s hilarious, that so-called ‘war on Christmas.’

Perhaps somebody needs to convert the media to somewhat more intelligent commentary and analysis.
