On Tuesday, Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters claimed that a “hacker” had “erased” her Twitter account.
“I have been hacked and my Twitter account has been erased,” Waters wrote, followed by, “I know who has done this. I will take care of this. M Waters.”
Waters did not provide any evidence of why she thought she was hacked and erased from Twitter. Also, her old posts were all still available.
I have been hacked and my Twitter account has been erased. I know who has done this. I will take care of this. M Waters.

It was a curious but funny tweet.
Needless to say, the internet lost it.

Let The Games Begin
It’s as if Waters subconsciously decided to entertain everyone on Twitter this week.
More than a few Twitter users started using famous lines from the Liam Neeson movie “Taken.”
Fox News editor David Rutz did that, writing, “If you undelete my Twitter account, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not pursue you.”

Someone Had To Go There: ‘It Was The Russians!’
Waters was so well known for railing about former President Donald Trump and alleged ‘Russian collusion’ during the 2016 presidential election, you knew someone would go there.
Hell, this is what is pinned to the top of her Twitter:

So Washington Free Beacon executive editor Bret Scher went there.

Water’s Personal Investigation Into This Matter Is Likely Ongoing
As of this writing, there have been no updates on Congresswoman Water’s personal investigation into the disappearance of her Twitter account that is still there.
The company also weighed in, essentially calling Waters’ claim fake news.
Yahoo reports that a spokesman for Twitter said, “as is standard, we have open lines of communication with her office and have worked with them to ensure the account is secure. At this time, we’ve identified no signs of account compromise.”
When she finds the culprit that did the thing that was not done, we will be sure to let you know.
