Maureen McCormick Supports Barry Williams As He Dances To ‘Brady Bunch’ Song On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Barry Williams brought the house down last night when he danced to a song from his iconic sitcom “The Brady Bunch” on the season premiere of “Dancing With The Stars,” and his former TV sister Maureen McCormick was quick to throw her support behind him.

McCormick Supports Williams On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

“Wishing the loveliest fellow all the best tonight on#DWTS !!! Goooo Barry!!! xoxo,” McCormick wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, before Williams took the stage.

Entertainment Weekly reported that during the season premiere of season 32 of “Dancing With The Stars,” Williams took the stage with his partner Peta Murgatroyd to perform a foxtrot routine to “It’s a Sunshine Day” by the Brady Bunch, which was released in 1972 on “The Kids From the Brady Bunch.” This was the third studio album from the six actors who portrayed the Brady children on “The Brady Bunch” from 1969 until 1974, with McCormick and Williams being two of those stars.

Williams has spent the past seventeen years trying to get on “Dancing With The Stars,” and he sees competing on the show as him checking something off of his bucket list. He ended up with a score of 16 and made it through the first elimination, which saw the former “Veep” star Matt Walsh be eliminated.

McCormick’s Time On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

McCormick competed on season 23 of “Dancing With The Stars” back in 2016, coming in eighth place. She became known on the show for frequently crying, something that she defended after her elimination.

“I’m emotional about everything. I feel a lot, and I love it,” McCormick told EW at the time. “To come into this competition and feel like I was the worst dancer in the world. I had this other head above me when I danced with friends. I would have to stop.”

“I thought I looked ugly. I look uncoordinated,” she continued. “I didn’t know what I’m doing. It was a huge thing for me. I’ve not been able to dance in public and enjoy it. So it was one of my biggest fears. Yeah I’m a woman. I’m insecure. I don’t mind those things. They make me human. It’s who I am.”

McCormick ultimately had a blast competing on “Dancing With The Stars.”

“It’s been such an interesting process, and every single day is changing,” she said. “You have to give yourself to it totally. It’s one of the greatest journeys I’ve ever had in my career. I mean that.”
