Soldier Surprises Mom at Work During the Holidays!

When I was in the military one of the major joys was surprising my mom when I was on leave. I would tell her I couldn’t make it home for a particular date, knowing full well that I was on my way. The smile and surprise of watching my mom light up brought so much joy to my heart. It showed me that she missed me, cherished me, and loved me.

In this video below, I see the same exact thing. A Marine surprises his mom while she’s at work. Mom was so surprised she couldn’t contain herself. Military soldiers love doing this and I think it’s awesome!

From Liftable:

The holiday season means many things to us all, but some people especially enjoy the grand crescendo of Christmas surprises. Family and friends hunt for the perfect gifts for one another, and finding just the right, unexpected — but loved — gift makes it all the more sweet.

Part of the excitement surrounding exchanging gifts is the element of surprise. Watching one’s children eagerly unwrap boxes or rip open gift bags on Christmas morning, to discover the presents handpicked for them, contributes to the magic of the holidays.

Of course, gift-giving is not the most important aspect of the Christmas season. It is, however, a special opportunity to show thoughtfulness and generosity to those you love or perhaps those you may not even personally know.

For many years, parents are typically responsible for the giving, while children delightfully receive. It’s always heartwarming to watch children grow into men and women who want to give back to their parents.

Angel Burgos had the perfect gift in mind for his mother, Paula Hart. His gift was something many of us take for granted: his presence.

Burgos is a Marine and had not seen his mother in over a year. His surprise visit to her would be all that she ever could have asked for this Christmas.

Hart works at Nordstrom in the beauty department. As you can imagine, a job in retail around the holidays means more crowds and business than other seasons.

You never get tired of watching these homecomings, and I will never get tired of sharing them with you. Some kids do not come home because of what happens on the battlefield, so we also have to give prayer and thanks to those families who have sacrificed for our country.

Please share this important message with your friends and family in the military!
