The Metro Nashville Police Department announced that release of the manifesto of Audrey Hale, the transgender shooter accused of killing six people – including three children – at the Christian Covenant School in Nashville earlier this year, will be delayed.

The announcement comes just days after the department declared that it would be released to the public.

In a post to their Twitter feed, they cite “pending litigation” as a reason for having to keep the highly-anticipated release under wraps.

“Due to pending litigation filed this week, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has been advised by counsel to hold in abeyance the release of records related to the shooting at The Covenant School pending orders or direction of the court,” they wrote.

Nashville Transgender Shooter Manifesto Suddenly Not Going to be Released

The latest announcement seems to validate skepticism from The Political Insider that the Nashville transgender shooter’s manifesto would actually be released.

As was reported, there were a number of caveats to the release, including a lack of confirmation as to when it might occur and if it would be released in its entirety.

Now it’s going to be backburnered for even longer than it already has been.

Authorities collected 20 journals, five laptops, multiple yearbooks, and maps to other schools, among other items from multiple locations previously in Hale’s possession before the heinous attack on a Christian elementary school.

One official described the manifesto as “a blueprint on total destruction” while another admitted the contents of the trans shooter’s materials “keeps him up at night.”

Progressive Journalist Slams Decision

Journalist Glenn Greenwald slammed the decision by the Metro Nashville Police Department to further delay release of the transgender shooter’s manifesto.

Greenwald claims the “pending litigation” referenced as a reason for the delay would never have been necessary if authorities simply released it to the public in the first place.

“This makes no sense,” he wrote. “Dozens of Tennessee citizens sought the release of the Nashville shooter’s manifesto under the public records act. All were denied.”

“Litigation happened because the PD wouldn’t release it voluntarily,” he pointed out. “Now they’re using the lawsuit as an excuse to conceal it.”

Fox News reports that the lawsuit Nashville Police are referring to was brought forth by the Tennessee Firearms Association and former Hamilton County Sheriff James Hammond.

Greenwald announced last month that he had been looking into his own lawsuit to spur release of the manifesto.

Greenwald also pointed out how such a cover up doesn’t seem to happen in other tragic cases. And the media seems curiously blasé about the whole thing.

“Can’t help but notice the extreme media interest in the manifestos in the manifesto of the attacker in the Buffalo massacre and those like it, and the complete lack of media interest in the manifesto of the Nashville shooter,” he tweeted.

He called the police decision a “disturbing attempt to continue to conceal the manifesto of the Nashville shooter.”

Speculation amongst conservative pundits is that the contents of the transgender shooter’s manifesto are disturbingly anti-Christian, with Christians being one of the few classes of people in Biden’s America who aren’t considered victims of violence or discrimination.

The manifesto might contradict that narrative, as well as the narrative that this incident was solely about ‘gun violence.’

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson argued the fact that the killer targeted Christians plays a key role in why public eyes have yet to see what the police recovered.

“It’s not accidental,” he said of the manifesto remaining under lockdown.”You know exactly why it is – because it would make the obvious undeniable.”

Carlson claimed the cover up is because, “The trans movement is targeting Christians, including with violence.”

He made those comments over a month ago. And still, nothing has been released.
