Liz Cheney’s primary opponent, the Trump-endorsed Wyoming attorney Harriet Hageman, mocked her for boasting of support from “pretend rancher” Kevin Costner.
Cheney, who is staring at a double-digit polling deficit heading toward an August 16th primary for Wyoming’s at-large House seat, tweeted a picture of the Yellowstone actor sporting an “I’m For Liz Cheney” t-shirt.
“Real men put country over party,” she captioned the image.
Conservatives on social media had a field day with the tweet with many noting that Costner, who lives in Colorado, can be “for Liz Cheney” all he wants but can not cast a vote for her.
Liz couldn’t find a Wyoming voter that supports her,
so — naturally — she had to settle for an actor that lives in Colorado.
Sounds about right.

Liz Cheney Mocked Over Kevin Costner Endorsement
Harriet Hageman joined the chorus of conservatives poking fun at Liz Cheney over her touting an endorsement from Hollywood actor Kevin Costner.
“Yellowstone is a good show, but Kevin Costner is a pretend rancher in a Hollywood production shot mostly in Montana, not Wyoming,” Hageman said in comments to the Daily Mail.
“And I’d bet that if he had to work a real ranch for a day, he’d call his agent to get him out of there,” she added.

Hageman notes that support for Liz Cheney isn’t all that surprising considering he’s supported Democrats in the past.
“I’ll take the support of the people of Wyoming any day of the week over a liberal actor who voted for Joe Biden,” she pointed out.
I can’t wait till the 16th when Liz Cheney comes in behind both Hageman and Monkey Pox.

‘Hell No’ They Don’t Want Liz
Harriet Hageman certainly appears to have the support of the people of Wyoming heading into her primary with Liz Cheney, even with Hollywood endorsements and Democrat support for her opponent Liz Cheney.
A recent poll shows Cheney trailing by a nearly insurmountable 22 points with less than two weeks to go before primary day.

A segment airing on CNN in which the network spoke to real Wyoming voters as opposed to a “pretend rancher” from Colorado led to some exceptional entertainment recently.
When asked if they support Liz, responses included “Hell no,” she “done us dirty,” and in referencing the anti-Trump Republican’s work on the Democrat-led select committee investigating January 6th, “repulsive.”

While Kevin Costner’s endorsement might not amount to much in her Wyoming primary against Hageman, Cheney might be able to use it for other political ambitions once she’s retired from Congress.
Cheney recently told CNN that she hasn’t quite made a decision on whether or not she’ll make a White House run in 2024 as a means to “try and stop” former President Donald Trump.
Rep. Liz Cheney on whether she might run for president in 2024:
