Laura Ingraham Maintains Top Spot With Fox News Show Despite Advertiser Exodus

Laura Ingraham Ratings

Let it not be said that sticking to your guns means you lose.

Last week, Laura Ingraham returned to Fox News after a week-long break. Before her short sabbatical, gun-control activist, and de facto Democratic Party spokesman, David Hogg launched a boycott against her program, targeting the show’s advertisers.

While many advertisers jumped ship at the slightest threat of bad publicity, some advertisers such as MyPillow weren’t so easily cowered. Fox News also stood behind their host, defending Ingraham against the vicious liberal attacks. And it looks like it paid off.

Mediaite reports:

The Ingraham Angle was the leading cable news show in its time slot, averaging 2.69 million viewers throughout the week. Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell came at a close second, averaging 2.6 million viewers. CNN Tonight came third with an average of 1. 29 million viewers. MSNBC did however edge out Ingraham in the key demo (25-54) with Last Word averaging 596,000 viewers versus her average of 559,000 viewers.

Congratulations to Ingraham! That was quite a storm to weather, and it looks like she came out dry and on top.

It just goes to show that many of these liberal boycotts are driven by rash emotion, and usually end up flaming out before they cause any lasting damage. This should serve as a lesson for anyone who finds themselves in the crosshairs of liberals. If you stick to your principals, you will win in the end.

With a new week ahead, and the news cycle beginning afresh, look for Ingraham to move beyond this matter. Surely liberals will find something else to throw a tantrum about as well.
