DNC Deputy Chair Keith Ellison voiced support for Antifa, a group the Department of Homeland Security and FBI have labeled as “domestic terrorists.”

Ellison proudly posted a picture on Twitter which showed him promoting a book he said would “strike fear in the heart of” President Trump.

The book, titled Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, is authored by Mark Bray, a Dartmouth professor who promotes “physically confront(ing) the far right when necessary,” and finds it acceptable to use violence to stop perceived “fascism.”

Keep in mind this is a U.S. representative who has served in Congress for over a decade, currently serves as deputy chair of the DNC, and was close to being named chairman of the DNC with support from prominent progressive groups and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Thoroughly freaking amazing. He’s advocating for a group who uses violence while saying he wants to “strike fear” in President Trump. Hey FBI, this is an actual threat against the President of the United States. Ellison needs to be paid a visit!

In an interview with NBC News, the author of that book defended violence against police officers whom Antifa views as “sympathizers with the far right,” as well as property destruction the group has become associated with over the years.

“Property destruction is certainly part of the repertoire of what some of these groups will do to achieve their goals,” Bray opined. “Some say it’s violence, some say it’s not because it’s not against human beings.”

Confidential documents obtained by Politico in September show the DHS had viewed those acts described above and in the book Ellison is promoting as “domestic terrorist violence.”

One senior law enforcement official charged with tracking domestic terrorists described Antifa activities as such:

“These antifa guys were showing up with weapons, shields and bike helmets and just beating the shit out of people. … They’re using Molotov cocktails, they’re starting fires, they’re throwing bombs and smashing windows.”

Those are the types of people Ellison is promoting. A group so far to the extreme that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi condemned them.

“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts,” Pelosi said in response to violent protests this past summer. “The violent actions of people calling themselves Antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted.”

What about those who support those violent actions?
