White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany slammed Democrat lockdowns meant to slow the spread of COVID as “Orwellian” and said it isn’t the American way to threaten people with jail time if they don’t comply. She also said that plans are in place to fight the coronavirus pandemic in a “second Trump administration.”
The White House press secretary made her remarks during an interview on Fox & Friends Wednesday.
“A lot of the guidelines you’re seeing are Orwellian,” she said. “The American people know how to protect their health. We’ve dealt with COVID for many months.”
“But it’s Orwellian in a place like Oregon to say if you gather in numbers more than six we might come to your house and arrest you and you get 30 days of jail time,” McEnany added. “That’s not the American way.”
George Orwell’s novel 1984 portrayed a dystopian world where Big Brother reigns supreme.
McEnany also said that there is an “infrastructure” in place to fight COVID-19 during a “second Trump Administration,” despite the fact that various media outlets have called the race for Joe Biden.

The Democrat Lockdowns Kayleigh McEnany is Referring to as ‘Orwellian’
Kayleigh McEnany, in discussing the ‘Orwellian’ lockdowns, specifically called out Democrat governor of Oregon, Kate Brown, who has delivered perhaps the most absurd edict of them all when it comes to Thanksgiving.
Brown has declared that any social gatherings of more than six people from two separate households are prohibited, and violators could face fines of up to $1,250 or jail time.
Radical leftist Governor of Oregon is ordering no more than 6 people can gather for Thanksgiving. Joe Biden says only 5!
Radical Governor is even threatening JAIL TIME for getting your family together at Thanksgiving.
This is ABSURD leftist control. Not the American way!

Brown isn’t the only Democrat to impose draconian lockdown measures on their citizens, not by a long shot. And many of these lawmakers have been actively flaunting their own rules.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot told city residents to ‘cancel’ Thanksgiving but celebrated maskless in the streets after the election.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has landed in some hot water after he was caught partying at an upscale restaurant without a mask in tight quarters.
This, even as he imposed holiday restrictions on the number of people one can have in their home, the length of time they can be there, and even if they should sing or not.
EXCLUSIVE: We’ve obtained photos of Governor Gavin Newsom at the Napa dinner party he’s in hot water over. The photos call into question just how outdoors the dinner was. A witness who took photos tells us his group was so loud, the sliding doors had to be closed. 10pm on @FOXLA pic.twitter.com/gtOVEwa864

Governor Andrew Cuomo restricted the number of people that can attend a Thanksgiving gathering in a private residence and imposed a curfew on bars and restaurants.
This, despite the fact that he and his own brother, Chris Cuomo, have been caught maskless and flaunting lockdown protocols.

Vows to Conquer COVID During a Second Administration
Even Joe Biden has proposed measures that Kayleigh McEnany described as ‘Orwellian’ this Thanksgiving holiday, advising how many people you can have in your own home and suggesting masks will still be in order.
“They [experts] strongly urge that, if, in fact, we’re going to have Thanksgiving with anyone, that we limit it to … five people, maximum 10 people, socially distanced, wearing masks, and people who have quarantined,” Biden insisted.

And while Biden intends to conquer the pandemic by locking people in their basement as he did, McEnany predicted something a little different that is sure to send the media into an apoplectic frenzy.
“We believe that we will [handle Covid] going forward in a second Trump administration,” she said.
