Kamala Harris, along with several other Senate colleagues, introduced a bill on Wednesday that would allow so-called ‘Dreamers’ to work as staffers or interns in Congress.
Current provisions, added within annual appropriations bills, bars noncitizens from working in the federal government.
The new legislation – known as The American Dream Employment Act – would, according to Harris, allow Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients to ‘give back to their country.’
Their country?
“The giant sign outside my office says ‘DREAMers Welcome Here’ because we know and value the contributions that these young people have made to their communities,” Harris emoted.
“But right now, those same young people are banned from giving back to their country by working for Congress,” she went on. “That has to change. Government works best when it reflects the people it represents.”
Should the government also reflect other lawbreakers within the population?

The legislation was first introduced in the House in January.
It seeks to “enable(s) the payment of certain officers and employees of the United States whose employment is authorized under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and for other purposes.”

Media Bias
We’d like you to take a quick look at an example of media bias 101. The same legislation introduced earlier in the year is being heralded in reports of Harris’ effort as having received bipartisan support.
Even Fox News parroted this line:
The legislation was first introduced earlier this year in the House by Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, D-Ariz. It has the support of several immigrant-rights groups and 57 bi-partisan co-sponsors, the release said.
Care to know what is defined as “57 bi-partisan co-sponsors”?
56 Democrats and 1 Republican.
That’s right, the legislation allowing Dreamers to work in Congress was supported by one lone Republican, Representative Jenniffer Gonzalez-Colon of Puerto Rico.
Bernie Did Her One Better
Harris is most assuredly trying to garner votes with her sympathetic view towards these ‘Dreamers,’ but Senator Bernie Sanders has done her one better.
The curmudgeon from Vermont actually hired Belén Sisa, a millennial Arizona left-wing activist, to serve as his deputy national press secretary during the 2020 campaign.
Sisa can’t actually vote for her own boss … because she’s an illegal immigrant.

Why are Democrat presidential candidates so hell-bent on kowtowing to ‘Dreamers’? Why would Harris, along with her other co-sponsors Sens. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Catherine Cortez-Masto (D-NV), as well as Bernie, seek to give them congressional jobs? Why would the media push a blatant lie of bipartisan support to push this agenda?
As conservative columnist Michelle Malkin has said, the DACA is “a 2.1 million future Democrat voter recruitment drive” and just another part of the progressive plan to “redraw the political map and secure a permanent ruling majority.”
How’s about legislation to help more veterans get jobs, Democrats?
