Pop quiz – Who made the following statement on illegal immigration?
“(X) is an opening and welcoming society, but let me be clear. We are also a country of laws.”
You’d be hard-pressed not to assume that is a reasonable statement made by President Trump about the growing concerns of illegal immigration in America.
Instead, that was a plea made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who addressed the problem beginning to plague his country.
What a weapons-grade hypcorite!
Trudeau, you may recall, responded to President Trump’s efforts to halt the influx of refugees from terror-harboring nations in January by offering up his country as a safe space.

Now, however, Canada’s version of Barack Obama is singing a different tune.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is sounding the alarm on the growing flood of immigrants entering Canada.
“Canada is an opening and welcoming society, but let me be clear. We are also a country of laws,” Trudeau said in remarks after a meeting in Montreal with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar.
“Entering Canada irregularly is not an advantage,” the prime minister doubled down. “There are rigorous immigration and customs rules that will be followed. Make no mistake.”
The Prime Minister stressed that anyone seeking refugee status would have to go through Canada’s “rigorous” screening process. Which, had President Trump suggested such a thing, would have led to him being branded a racist and xenophobe.
Trudeau is responding to a trend in Canada that saw illegal border crossings in July triple from their numbers the previous month.
Why? Because their neighbors to the south – the United States – are finally enforcing their own borders.
Shortly after Trudeau’s welcoming tweet seen above, President Trump, having established a new administration that values national security and adherence to actual laws, caused illegals to begin self-deporting to the open arms of Canada.
Reuters reported that, “refugees in the United States fearing a worsening climate of xenophobia in the wake of a divisive U.S. presidential campaign are flocking to Canada in growing numbers.”
Suddenly, now that his nation must deal with the influx of illegals, Trudeau is concerned.
“Our rules, our principles and our laws apply to everyone,” he said.
So do ours, Mr. Prime Minister. So do ours.
