Joy Behar Suggests AOC Should Be Vice President, Meghan McCain Quickly Shoots Her Down

‘The View’ host Joy Behar suggested Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would be an ideal choice for vice president in the 2020 election, but was quickly shut down with facts by co-host Meghan McCain and former Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang.

“AOC would be actually a good choice, except that she’s a Bernie person,” Behar said, acknowledging that Biden is the apparent frontrunner at this stage.

McCain had to step in and remind Behar that AOC is too young to fill such a role, as per the Constitution.

“She’s not? As a VP?” Behar asked, clearly confused.

“The Constitution has a minimum age for president and it’s conceivable that the vice president is going to be president,” Yang gently pointed out to the befuddled comic.

These Women Help Shape Political Discourse

Earlier in the week, another co-host of ‘The View,’ Whoopi Goldberg, suggested Jill Biden, who has a doctoral degree in education leadership and is most decidedly not an actual doctor, should be nominated as Surgeon General of the United States.

“I’m hoping Dr. Jill becomes the surgeon general … she’s a hell of a doctor,” Goldberg gushed of the woman who is not a doctor period, let alone a ‘hell of’ one.

“She’s an amazing doctor,” Whoopi continued.

McCain also chimed in to educate her colleagues once again: “I could be wrong. I thought she was a PhD.”

It’s hard to believe these women on ‘The View’ help shape the news in the minds of their gullible viewers. What with one saying a teacher should be Surgeon General and the other unaware of the constitutional requirements of the office of the presidency.

There are some who actually believe Goldberg and Behar are intelligent news connaisseurs.

That Pesky Constitution

There are two main reasons that Behar’s fantasy of AOC in the White House will not come true in 2020:

  1. The Constitution states that eligible candidates be at least 35. Meaning Ocasio-Cortez would be unable to pursue the presidency or be placed in a line of succession to the presidency until at least 2024.
  2. She’s dumber than a stump.

Alright, so number two is a bit harsh, but if the media can eviscerate Sarah Palin, a former candidate for vice president as being too dumb for the role – as they most certainly unjustifiably did – then the former bartender is fair game.

After all, do we really want someone who doesn’t know how to use a garbage disposal a heartbeat away from the presidency?

Buck up, Joy.

While 2020 isn’t going to be AOC’s year, the future may be bright (or dim, if you’re an American who thinks Congress and/or the White House should be reserved for respectable people.)

Reports surfaced last month that Ocasio-Cortez is being urged to run for Chuck Schumer’s Senate seat in 2024. Can you imagine somebody like this representing the Senate of the United States?

Worse, a Politico report prior to that indicated Ocasio-Cortez is experiencing an overwhelming groundswell of support for a future presidential run once she reaches the required age.

Maybe one day Behar’s dreams will come true.
