Joy Behar Demands That Trump Be ‘Locked Up Already’

Joy Behar let loose on Donald Trump once again on Tuesday’s episode of her ABC talk show “The View,” this time demanding that the former president be “locked up already.”

Behar Wants Trump Locked Up

Daily Mail reported that Behar called for Trump to be sent to prison as her panel discussed an alleged 2021 recording in which the former president appeared to talk about keeping a classified Pentagon document relating to a potential attack on Iran after he left office. Co-host Sunny Hostin outrageously suggested that Trump might have wanted to sell the document, and Behar was quick to agree with her.

“Everything about him is making money so why not?” exclaimed Behar, 80.

As the discussion among the panelist continued, Behar became visibly exasperated.

“He’s a grifter. He’s a grifter,” she said of Trump. “Lock him up already. Lock him up.”

Behar went on to accuse Trump of being “stupid” for allegedly being recorded speaking about this.

“Nixon was caught on tape and that was the end of his career as president,” she said. “This guy is caught on tape talking about grabbing women’s genitalia – he didn’t learn from that or from Nixon and now he’s continuing to tape himself. That is really the definition of stupidity.”

Trump’s Alleged Recording 

CNN claims that the recording shows Trump discussing classified materials during a July of 2021 meeting at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“These are the papers,” his voice can be heard saying, adding “it’s so cool” and that the information was classified and “highly confidential.”

Trump responded to the recording on Monday by saying that it “exonerated” him.

“The Deranged Special Prosecutor, Jack Smith, working in conjunction with the DOJ & FBI, illegally leaked and “spun” a tape and transcript of me which is actually an exoneration, rather than what they would have you believe,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“This continuing Witch Hunt is another ELECTION INTERFERENCE Scam,” he added. “They are cheaters and thugs

Trump doubled down on Tuesday by telling Fox News that the recording “is just another hoax.”

“I would say election interference more than anything else. It’s a disgrace that they can do it,” Trump said. “Everything was fine. We did nothing wrong and everybody knows it.”

When asked about the recording specifically, Trump said, “I had a whole desk full of lots of papers, mostly newspaper articles, copies of magazines, copies of different plans, copies of stories, having to do with many, many subjects, and what was said was absolutely fine. … We did nothing wrong. This is a whole hoax.”

Trump ‘Did Nothing Wrong’

Trump was then asked about his voice on the recording, to which he replied, “My voice was fine. What did I say wrong on those recordings? I didn’t even see the recording. All I know is I did nothing wrong.”

“We had a lot of papers, a lot of papers stacked up,” he added. “In fact, you hear the rustle of the paper. And nobody said that I did anything wrong other than the fake news, which is Fox, too. I don’t know of any recordings that we should be concerned with because I don’t do things wrong. I do things right. I’m a legitimate person.”

Trump concluded by taking a shot at President Joe Biden.

“I’m not like Biden that gets hundreds of millions of dollars from people and countries,” he said. “We do things right, so I don’t care about any recordings.”

Behar has long shown that she has one of the worst cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome of anyone in the media, which is saying a lot, so nothing she says about Trump can be taken seriously. She can fantasize about Trump being locked up all that she wants to, but nothing she says will ever bring that closer to actually happening.
