Jon Voight Slams Daughter Angelina Jolie For Anti-Israel Comments – ‘I Am Very Disappointed’

The Oscar-winning Hollywood star Jon Voight is speaking out to slam his estranged daughter Angelina Jolie after she came to the defense of the Palestinians in their conflict with Israel.

Jolie Defends Palestine – Slams Israel

Jolie, 48, took to Instagram last week to come to the defense of Palestine rather than Israel. She began by accusing Israel of deliberately bombing” Gaza, which she described as an “open-air prison,” for “nearly two decades,” adding that “whole families are being murdered.”

“While the world watches and with the active support of many governments, millions of Palestinian civilians – children, women, families – are being collectively punished and dehumanized, all while being deprived food, medicine and humanitarian aid against international law,” she wrote.

Voight Fires Back At Jolie

This didn’t sit well with her father, who has been an outspoken supporter of Israel for many years.

“I am very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God’s honor, God’s truths,” Voight, 84, began in a video posted to social media. “This is about destroying the history of God’s land, the Holy Land, the Land of the Jews. This is justice for God’s children of the Holy Land.”

Voight went on to call on the Israeli army to “protect thy soil” and “thy people.”

“This is war. It’s not going to be what the Left thinks,” he said. “It can’t be civil now. Israel was attacked by inhuman terror on innocent babies, mothers, fathers, grandparents.”

Not stopping there, Voight slammed anyone who supports Palestine as “fools” before calling on them to find God’s “truths.”

“The ones who understand truth see the lie. These animals want to wipe out the Jews, Christians. They see that the Palestinians have not been neglected of finance,” he stated, claiming that the terrorists have been given “huge infusions of money” that they “didn’t share with the people.”

“They made weapons instead for their rage. The people of Israel care for people. They love and cherish – something these animals don’t understand,” he concluded. “Justice will prevail.”

Jolie has yet to respond to Voight’s comments at the time of this writing. Check out his full video below.

Voight’s Previous Israel Comments

This comes one month after Voight publicly announced his support of Israel in another video posted to social media.

“Israel, I love you. Israel will stand tall for the land of its sacred soil. These sick-minded beings have been evil since birth. They’re trained to destroy,” he said at the time. “God’s power, along with the Israeli army, will end this destruction and the power of this evil. It will be destroyed once and for all so that Jewish people can be in peace and live in safety, to live life. L’Chaim.”

“Let me assure you, by the almighty power of God, and the power of Moses who once stood in the time of evil forces, that this is the Holocaust,” he continued. “It’s the horror that was witnessed by the Jews of Auschwitz, and I have come now to warn the evil ones that God will show truths again. He shall win this war for his people, as when Moses was able to lift the Red Sea. He shall rid this vermin once and for all, and we the people shall stand and fight for our loved ones, lost and living.”

Voight And Jolie’s Estrangement 

Daily Mail reported that Voight and Jolie have been estranged at various times throughout her life, as she has long blamed him for cheating on her mother Marcheline Bertrand, leading the couple to divorce the year after she was born.

“When my father had an affair, it changed her life,” Jolie said after her mother died of ovarian cancer in 2007. “It set her dream of family life ablaze. But she still loved being a mother.”

While Jolie and Voight were estranged throughout the early 2000s, they reconciled in 2010 with the help of her then-husband Brad Pitt, who convinced the father and daughter to make peace. Voight was overjoyed to even be able to meet Jolie’s six children in the wake of their reconciliation.

“That one moment changed my whole life,” he said at the time. “It gave me back my daughter and my family. Being reunited with my Angie is very precious to me.”

Sadly, Jolie cut off all contact with her father once again after her 2016 split from Pitt, and they’ve been estranged ever since.

“They’ve lost contact again,” a source said in May of last year.

Voight’s latest comments about Jolie’s anti-Israel remarks will undoubtedly do nothing to mend their broken relationship. Given how strongly Voight feels about the Israeli cause, however, it’s hard to blame him for speaking out about this.
