Joe Scarborough: We Must Make Sure President Trump Succeeds

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough told his viewers that President Trump’s latest performance in combatting coronavirus had impressed him, and that “we have to do everything we can do to make sure this president succeeds.”

If only Democrat lawmakers would have such a revelation of bipartisan support in the midst of a crisis.

Scarborough noted that the President had taken a more “somber” approach to the emergency at hand and hoped it marked a “new beginning” on his part.

He Must Succeed

Admitting that it was difficult to say something positive about Trump, Scarborough proceeded to let his viewers know why it is so important to rally around the man in the Oval Office.

“If you’ve watched the show for more than ten minutes over the past three-and-a-half years, you understand we’re critical of just about everything the president does,” admitted Scarborough.

Glad there is some recognition of his own blatant bias and that of the network.

Still, he declared “we all have to work together” after noting this nation “only (has) one President at a time.”

Viewers Stunned

Scarborough’s viewers likely assumed he was like many in the resistance – willing to politicize things even in a time of crisis.

So they must have been stunned when he said the following words: “We have to do everything we can do to make sure this president succeeds.”

Whoa. Sure, Scarborough qualified that statement by adding, “Well, obviously, this president has made that very difficult over the past three years.”

But he still expressed a tone of optimism that this just might mark the beginning of a new and glorious friendship. Well, maybe it’s not quite that dramatic.

You Buying It?

The question here is: Is anybody buying Scarborough’s call for cooperation? Or will he attack the President at his earliest opportunity?

After all, it was no more than one week ago that the MSNBC host shared a fake tweet in an attempt to smear President Trump over chaos in the stock markets due to the coronavirus crisis.

Not long after that, Scarborough suggested the President “has to be shown that there are boundaries.”

“Our constitutional republic, literally, and the institutions in it, literally, are being challenged every single day by this would-be dictator,” he added.

They smeared him with lies and fake news. They smear him as a dictator. And now we’re supposed to believe Morning Joe is standing behind their President?
