Popular podcast host Joe Rogan peeled back the curtain on why Kamala Harris’s campaign ultimately refused an interview with him, noting the campaign’s demands for certain topics that were off-limits.

One of those topics, according to Rogan, was marijuana legalization.

“I think they had requirements on things that she didn’t want to talk about,” Rogan said in a conversation with comedian Adrienne Iapalucci on Tuesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

“She didn’t want to talk about marijuana legalization, which I thought was hilarious,” he added.

Kamala Harris Didn’t Do Joe Rogan Because She Didn’t Want To Defend Her Record Jailing Black Men

One of the biggest issues Kamala Harris had in trying to secure votes from the black community was her extensive history of marijuana prosecutions as California attorney general. Joe Rogan pointed that out as a reason she wanted to avoid the topic.

“Because of her prosecuting record,” Rogan explained. “She put a lot of people in jail for weed.”

Which would certainly complicate promoting legalization among the higher-IQ Democrat voters.

The podcast icon gave several other reasons the meeting with Harris never took place, including scheduling issues and logistics.

“They had, I don’t know how many conversations with my folks, but multiple conversations giving different dates, different times, different this, different that, and we knew that she was going to be in Texas, so I said, ‘open invitation,’” he said.

Harris’ campaign had reportedly wanted Rogan to travel to her instead. They also suggested they didn’t do Rogan’s show because progressives didn’t want her to.

“There was a backlash with some of our progressive staff that didn’t want her to be on it, and how there would be a backlash,” Jennifer Palmieri, an adviser to Harris’ husband, told the Financial Times.

Kamala was terrified of her own staff. But she was going to be Commander-in-Chief in an increasingly volatile time. Right.

Kamala’s Anti-Weed Record

As California attorney general, Harris oversaw thousands of marijuana-related convictions. Critics argue that these convictions disproportionately affected black and brown communities and that Harris’s office fought against efforts to reduce sentences or expunge records.

Harris later came under additional fire for that prosecutorial record when she claimed she smoked weed in high school, with some branding her a hypocrite.

So terrified of that record was Harris that she actually used the lure of weed to try and attract votes, apparently hoping everyone would just forget her record.

Think about that – she promised to legalize marijuana but, according to Rogan, didn’t want to talk about it. Hilarious indeed.

Trump did an interview with Joe Rogan whereas Kamala Harris would not. It drew nearly 50 million views on YouTube. In it, he showed his humor, his stamina, and his breadth of understanding of history and politics.

And he didn’t provide a list of topics that were off the table.

Trump ended up with a significant uptick in support from black and Hispanic voters, defeating Harris in an electoral vote landslide.
