Former Vice President Joe Biden wants to run for president.
The rumors have been swirling around for months: Biden is seriously considering a 2020 run and is eager to take on President Trump. A working-class Pennsylvanian by birth, Biden thinks he has the mettle to go round after round with the populist billionaire. And we would be lying if we didn’t admit the wind is certainly at Biden’s back in this quest. A recent poll shows that Biden could beat Trump in a hypothetical 2020 match-up. The only problem is, while Biden may be the Democrats’ best hope of defeating Trump, the Party itself is moving away from Biden’s pure essence: old white males.
It would be a grind for Biden to win the 2020 nomination of the Democratic Party. That’s especially so after Hillary rigged the last contest in her favor over socialist upstart Bernie Sanders. But now Biden is getting even worse news for his presidential prospects. A doctor has ordered Biden to stay home from giving an important speech in Illinois.

Former Vice President Joe Biden will no longer be speaking at the Illinois State Fair, according to the Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association.
In a Facebook post late Tuesday evening, the group’s president, Dough House, confirmed that Biden, who originally had planned to speak at Democrats Day, wouldn’t be attending due to health reason.
“Everyone who knows Vice President Biden knows that he gives our party and our country his all, but unfortunately he is sick and is under doctor’s orders not to travel,” House said.

Does this automatically mean Biden won’t run for president? No, but at 75 years of age, Biden is no sprightly young man. If he can’t make the trip to Illinois to give a simple speech, there’s no way he can do the grueling campaign for president.
