Over the past few days, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple former aides.

Biden And Harris Silent On Cuomo Allegations

Despite being quick to condemn Republicans who have been accused of sexual misconduct in the past, both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have been noticeably silent about the claims made about Cuomo.

During her press conference on Tuesday, Jen Psaki appeared to defend Biden and Harris staying quiet on this issue.

Fox News’ Kristin Fisher pointed out to Psaki that Harris was “one of the most vocal critics” when Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was hit with similar allegations, saying that she claimed at the time, “I believe them [the women].”

Fisher went on to say that Anna Ruch, who is the third woman to accuse Cuomo of making unwanted advances towards her, previously worked for the Biden-Harris campaign.

“So at what point is the first female vice president going to say something about this?” she asked.

“The benefit of doing a briefing every day is I can certainly speak on behalf of the president and the vice president,” Psaki replied.

“So let me reiterate that they both believe that every woman coming forward should be heard, should be treated with dignity and treated with respect,” she added.

She went on to say that Biden and Harris support the investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

“It’s one thing to hear it from you and it’s appreciated but it’s another thing to hear it from the vice president or the president himself. Can we expect to hear it from them anytime soon?” Fisher pressed.

“Again, I am speaking on their behalf that’s how they feel,” Psaki said in response.

At the time of this writing, Cuomo has been accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior in the workplace by at least three women who previously worked for him.

Though he initially tried to refer the investigation to Barbara Jones, a former U.S. district judge who worked with a former advisor of his, he relented on Monday and allowed James to launch the probe.
