Fox News meteorologist and author Janice Dean slammed CNN executives for their “spineless” leniency towards Chris Cuomo regarding the scandals involving his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo was allowed to promote the Democrat governor during the pandemic with comedic segments involving props and references to the “Luv Guv,” but has fallen silent as scandal after scandal has destroyed his older brother’s legacy.
Chris Cuomo has been shielded from covering his brother’s scandals by a conveniently placed CNN policy which prevents him from doing so – but had already covered the topic for months before the policy was announced.
Dean, whose husband’s parents were both victims of COVID-19 in which nursing homes played a part, has been a consistent and vocal critic of the Governor due to his role in issuing an executive order which forced nursing homes to take on COVID-positive patients.
The order resulted in thousands of seniors succumbing to the virus.
And yet, it took a sexual harassment scandal to really shine a negative light on the governor.
Dean, in an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF), set her sights on CNN for doing nothing about Chris Cuomo.
Chris has been silent about his brother being found guilty of sexually harassing numerous women, even as he was implicated by the New York AG’s report for having crafted the governor’s response to the allegations.
It appears @ChrisCuomo will not address the NY AG report that shows he was helping his brother cover up his criminal sexual misconduct and smear his victims. This is how he started the show. Back in May, he made comments at the top of the show. pic.twitter.com/GVPtvhw9SX

Janice Dean Slams CNN And Chris Cuomo
Dean, in the interview with DCNF, slammed Chris Cuomo for essentially ignoring all of Andrew’s scandals – whether it be the nursing home tragedy, sexual harassment, or even helping to prioritize COVID testing for his family members.
She called Cuomo’s actions “journalistic malpractice.”
At the same time, Dean expressed gratitude for the Cuomo brothers’ comedy efforts on CNN, noting that if she hadn’t been so infuriated by their juvenile tactics, she never would have become one of the most outspoken critics of the governor.
“You know, I have to say though, I’m grateful for them (CNN) being so spineless and lenient, and having Chris Cuomo and his brother on for their daily comedy hour in the spring of last year,” she explained.
“If it wasn’t for those giant q-tips and the fact that they didn’t care about what was going on in nursing homes,” she added, “I wouldn’t be here today.”

Janice Dean Is Livid
CNN’s policy of initially allowing anchor brother to interview politician brother was defended by the network.
“The early months of the pandemic crisis were an extraordinary time,” a CNN spokesperson told Entertainment Tonight. “We felt that Chris speaking with his brother about the challenges of what millions of American families were struggling with was of significant human interest.”
In fact, he was propping up his brother as the COVID savior, teasing him with giant cotton swabs, and even promoting him as the “Luv Guv.”
Cuomo ate it up, at one point saying on CNN airwaves: “I’ve always been a soft guy. I am the Luv Guv. I’m a cool dude in a loose mood, you know that. I just say let it go, just go with the flow, baby.”
Not objective but true, the facts tell the story.NY had & has its struggles but they’re doing way better than what we see elsewhere & no way that happens without the Luv Guv dishing the real 24/7.He works with relentless intensity & NY’s better for it.And as a brother, I am proud. pic.twitter.com/M1TrAtQwCo

Janice Dean is understandably livid with Chris Cuomo and CNN.
“Give me a break, CNN,” she said, referencing their policy of not allowing Cuomo to comment on his brother’s scandals which he helped navigate.
“You are a joke,” Dean added. “Just like the Cuomo comedy hour last year.”
Awww. @NYGovCuomo is auditioning for a new comedy show with @ChrisCuomo on @CNN. Of course the Gov didn’t address the thousands of deaths from COVID-19 in nursing homes in New York. (Roughly 20 percent of all deaths in our state). Enjoy the giant swab! https://t.co/U5Yl487oUm

Dean has consistently criticized CNN’s effort in covering up the Cuomo scandals and the fact that one of their straight news anchors has played a part in two of them now.
“It’s the same station that hosted Chris and his brother and the Cuomo comedy hour for weeks, as body bags were being piled up outside of nursing homes and storage trucks,” railed Dean.
