Illegal Charged With Sexual Assault and Murder of 92-Year-Old New Yorker Overstayed Visa

Illegal Immigrant

It has just been revealed that an illegal immigrant charged with raping murdering a 92-year-old New York woman overstayed his visa for three years.

Overstays Visa, Murders Woman

Reeaz Khan is a 21-year-old illegal immigrant from Guyana who came to the U.S. in May 2016 on a B-2 visa, but instead of leaving the country after a few months, he decided to overstay his welcome. Khan was arrested last week for the sexual assault and murder of Maria Fuertes, a 92-year-old woman, who the community described as “a lovely lady” who “never bothered a soul.” He is accused of strangling Fuertes to death on a sidewalk in Richmond Hill, Queens on Monday night.

He initially told detectives that it was simply all an accident. He claimed to have fallen down, with his belt breaking, causing his pants to also drop down and “his penis fell near [her] vagina.” Khan later admitted that he did in fact “lift up [her] skirt and… tried to put his penis inside of her.”

“New York’s Policy is Dangerously Flawed”

Khan was initially arrested back in November, after the NYPD charged him with assault and criminal possesion of a weapon. Having overstayed his visa and become an illegal alien, Khan should absolutely have been deported from the country, but New York’s state sanctuary policy shielded him from being picked up by ICE agents.

“It is made clear that New York City’s stance against honoring detainers is dangerously flawed,” Thomas Decker, an ICE official, said in a statement. “It was a deadly choice to release a man on an active ICE detainer back onto the streets after his first arrest included assault and weapon charges, and he now faces new charges, including murder.”

Why Wasn’t He Deported?!

Around 3,000 criminal illegal immigrants were estimated to have been freed by New York City officials last year, an incredible amount. Even one criminal released back is far too many.

This tragic story is one that will make the blood of many Americans boil in anger and frustration. Khan should have been deported years ago, and certainly after he was charged in November and found to have overstayed his visa. There is no excuse for not removing criminals from our society. The architects of this insane policy deserve being locked up themselves, for putting millions of Americans in danger from being assaulted, raped, and murdered every single day.

Anyone who supports this has blood on their hands.
