Hundreds of protesters with signs were already gathered outside the United States Supreme Court following an unprecedented leak of a draft opinion indicating the Court is prepared to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion.
Politico reported late into the evening hours on Monday that the “Supreme Court has voted to strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision” citing “an initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito” the outlet had obtained.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Alito writes. “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
Should this be the final decision of the court, overturning Roe v. Wade would return the issue to the states.
Politico describes the document as “a full-throated, unflinching repudiation of the 1973 decision,” as well as the decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey that largely maintained the right to abortion.

Supreme Court Poised to Strike Down Roe v. Wade?
According to the Politico report, Justices Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett have voted with Alito.
Sources tell CNN that Chief Justice John Roberts, who abandoned all pretense of being a conservative or even a moderate justice years ago, “would have dissented from part of Alito’s draft opinion … likely with the court’s three liberals.”

Fox News is reporting that analysts suggest the unprecedented leak of the draft document is an intimidation tactic, “an attempt to pressure a Supreme Court justice to change his or her vote on the pivotal case.”
Axios adds: “The Supreme Court is famous for not leaking ahead of decisions. After today, that has changed.”
The draft document is just that – a draft. As such, drafts do circulate and change, along with votes. That may just be why it mysteriously leaked to the media, a rare event.

Protesters Already Gathering
Leaking the draft opinion that may lead to Roe being overturned is certainly going to stir up the pro-abortion fringe lunatics on the left.

The word ‘Insurrection’ was trending on Twitter this morning, a reference that the Supreme Court leak marked an actual attempt at disrupting government procedures.

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) famously threatened the Supreme Court – specifically Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch – at a pro-abortion rally held in close proximity to the Court itself.

“I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price,” Schumer shouted, pointing a stern finger.

These were threats coming from the top Democrat senator toward the Supreme Court. This document leak is a thinly veiled threat lobbied at the Supreme Court. There is, in fact, a whirlwind outside the court as we speak.
