Hillary Clinton’s Top Aide Huma Abedin Claims She Was Sexually Assaulted By A US Senator

Huma Abedin, a top aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, claims in her forthcoming memoir that she was sexually assaulted by a sitting United States senator in 2005.

Huma Abedin, a top aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, claims in her forthcoming memoir that she was sexually assaulted by a sitting United States senator in 2005.

The assault, according to excerpts from her new book Both/And: A Life in Many Worlds, took place shortly after she attended the wedding of former President Donald Trump and his wife Melania.

Abedin was working for Clinton in Washington, D.C. at the time. Clinton served as U.S. Senator from New York between 2001 and 2009.

Clinton, according to Abedin’s account, was not in attendance at a dinner party that she attended with “a few senators and their aides.”

“I ended up walking out with one of the senators, and soon we stopped in front of his building and he invited me in for coffee,” she wrote. “Once inside, he told me to make myself comfortable on the couch.”

Abedin claims that’s when”it all changed” instantly.

“He plopped down to my right, put his left arm around my shoulder, and kissed me, pushing his tongue into my mouth, pressing me back on the sofa,” she recalls. “I was so utterly shocked, I pushed him away. All I wanted was for the last 10 seconds to be erased.”

Abedin goes on to note that the senator in question apologized and suggested he had “misread” the situation.

Huma Abedin Claims She Was Sexually Assaulted by Senator

Huma Abedin gives no names, details, or even party affiliation of the senator she claims sexually assaulted her in 2005.

For those curious as to who was serving in the Senate in 2005, here is a list.

Abedin claims she “buried the incident” and erased it “entirely” from her mind.

That is until allegations of assault were leveled against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2018 by Christine Blasey Ford.

Abedin claims the memory of her own assault resurfaced when she read accounts of how Ford was “accused of ‘conveniently’ remembering” her alleged attack.

Bill Clinton’s Own Sordid History

Abedin was allegedly triggered to recall her own sexual assault by the Ford-Kavanaugh story, but not the many allegations against her boss’s husband, former President Bill Clinton over the years.

Hillary has consistently had to answer to similar and even worse accusations against Mr. Clinton.

The former President was accused of multiple infidelities, sexual assaults, and even rape by Juanita Broaddrick, a former nursing home owner.

None of the stories told by those victims caused her suppressed memory of being sexually assaulted by a former United States senator to resurface?

And none of the scandals involving her own husband triggered her to recall what allegedly happened in 2005?

Anthony Weiner, a one-time New York City mayoral candidate, was sentenced to 21 months in jail and three years of supervised release in 2017 after he sent sexually explicit messages to an underage girl.

Weiner served 18 months and was released in May of 2019 but was ordered by a judge to register as a sex offender.

Instead, even knowing the Bill Clinton allegations and the scandals surrounding Weiner, it was Ford’s testimony that caused Huma Abedin to remember allegedly being sexually assaulted in 2005.

Abedin’s memoir will be available on November 2nd.
