Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appeared on the Tonight Show, calling for ‘common sense’ gun control in the wake of the Las Vegas massacre.
Clinton told host Jimmy Fallon, who mistakenly believed her to be a relevant politician, that the Republican party is beholden to Second Amendment supporters.
“One whole political party” in the US, she explained, is “totally sold to the gun lobby.”
Clinton’s comments echoed those she posted on social media, as she politicized the tragedy in Las Vegas within hourse by urging people to “stand up to the NRA.”
Our grief isn’t enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.

Now however, Clinton is offering specific policies and procedures vague catchphrases to advocate for gun control, including the left’s favorite phrase – ‘common sense.’
“I can’t believe that one whole political party in the greatest country on earth is totally sold to the gun lobby,” she told Fallon.
“The vast majority of Americans and the vast majority of gun owners know we need common sense laws.”
Liberals say, “Common Sense,” gun laws while they have armed security. Hillary has gov security for a lifetime….#NoGunControl

At a campaign rally in Lynden, Washington, then-candidate Trump warned supporters that Clinton would try to abolish the Second Amendment if she were elected.
“Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment,” Trump said. “Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment.”
At a town hall style debate in New Hampshire, Hillary said she’d consider a gun buyback program implemented in Australia in 1996, which the NRA said was evidence that she wanted to confiscate guns.
“I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level if that could be arranged,” Clinton said in response to a question about the Australian initiative.

In another speech, Clinton said that “the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment, and I am going to make that case every chance I get.”
“The real goal of gun control supporters is gun confiscation,” a statement from the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action said. “Hillary Clinton’s extreme views are completely out of touch with the American people.”
Thank God she’s promoting those extreme view on the Tonight Show instead of from a place that actually matters – like the White House.
