Here’s The Exact Moment Trump Smacked Down Democrat Socialists In His SOTU Speech

While President Trump’s State of the Union address was loaded with memorable highlights, one moment stands out in that it draws a clear contrast between his administration and what the radical Democrats are offering in 2020.

As Bernie Sanders – an avowed socialist and borderline communist – ascends to the top of the Democratic primary polls, the President took an opportunity to once again slam socialism in his speech.

Trump welcomed Venezuelan President Juan Guaidó as a guest at his speech before Congress.

The current administration has vehemently backed Guaidó as the rightful leader of Venezuela, despite dictator Nicolas Maduro clinging to power in the country.

“Here this evening is a man who carries with him the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of all Venezuelans,” Trump declared. “Joining us in the gallery is the true and legitimate President of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó.”

“Mr. President, please take this message back to your homeland,” he continued. “All Americans are united with the Venezuelan people in their righteous struggle for freedom!”

Trump then delivered one of the best lines of his speech.

“Socialism destroys nations. But always remember, freedom unifies the soul.”

Shots Fired

The presence of Guaidó is a direct shot at Bernie Sanders whose ideology aligns more with Maduro than it does with a leader trying to restore democracy in the impoverished nation.

But it’s also a shot at Sanders’ cadre of class clown communists known as ‘The Squad.’

Two Squad members in particular – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) – voiced support for Maduro as the Venezuelan dictator was committing crimes against humanity.

Omar went so far as to side with Maduro and denounce … America.

Omar claimed “policies that we [America] have put in place” are to blame for the crisis in Venezuela, adding that teh administration was “bullying” Maduro.

Trump’s Vow

President Trump’s vow to fight the scourge of socialism echoes comments he made in last year’s State of the Union speech.

Trump’s statement led Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) to introduce a resolution condemning socialism which he says “poses a significant threat to freedom, liberty, and economic prosperity.”

“A radical, socialist, far-left movement is growing across this country,” Daines said. “And it has taken root as the new voice of the Democratic Party.”

As the President moved deeper into his speech, he called out Democrat socialists for trying to destroy the healthcare for millions of Americans.

“As we work to improve Americans’ healthcare, there are those who want to take away your healthcare, take away your doctor, and abolish private insurance entirely,” Trump said.

“One hundred thirty-two lawmakers in this room have endorsed legislation to impose a socialist takeover of our healthcare system, wiping out the private health insurance plans of 180 million Americans,” the President added.

“To those watching at home tonight, I want you to know: We will never let socialism destroy American healthcare!”

And to that, Democrats sat stonefaced, refusing to applaud. This is what they want, America!
