Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is looking to ditch her Tesla just weeks after a Twitter spat with Elon Musk in which he mocked her for supposedly hitting on him.
The far-left New York Democrat told Bloomberg News she was thinking about selling her Model 3. She says she purchased it in 2020 due to its ability to hold a charge longer than other electric vehicles.
The Model 3 has a base price of $47,000.
In a column titled “Democrats Aren’t ‘Musk Fans’ But They Sure Do Like His Cars,” AOC says it’s time to move on to a company that uses unionized workers.
“At the time, it was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges,” she explained. “I would love to switch.”
.@AOC wants to sell her Tesla because @elonmusk is now championing ideas, like freedom of speech, she doesn’t like. https://t.co/bmQu9RDQvK

AOC Wants to Ditch Tesla After Being Spurned by Elon Musk
News of AOC seeking to ditch her Tesla comes just weeks after she had a very public and extremely humorous spat with Elon Musk on Twitter.
The socialist Democrat tweeted about an “explosion of hate crimes … happening [because] some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform.”
Musk trolled her rather effectively responding, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”

Musk’s response was an obvious dig at AOC’s claim that Republican critics of hers were just “projecting their sexual frustrations” and are “mad they can’t date me.”
AOC would later claim in a since-deleted tweet that actually, she was talking about Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, not Musk.
If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet.
Ya creepy weirdos https://t.co/Z7bZCgXpWJ

Musk has raised the ire of the left by declaring them to have gone so extreme that it forces moderates like himself to side with Republicans.
When asked by Bloomberg for her thoughts on Musk delving into politics, AOC replied, “He’s a billionaire. I could care less what he thinks.”
Oh, she cares alright. Because successful people are always the bain of the left.
Challenges Her Directly
Tesla CEO Elon Musk continued his teasing of AOC by posting a poll in which respondents are asked who they trust less – Billionaires or politicians.
Currently, politicians are running away with 76% of the vote.
Musk dared Ocasio-Cortez to run the same poll on her own Twitter feed.
.@aoc I dare you to run the same poll with your followers

He later poked at liberals for using the term “billionaire” as a means to scare low-information voters into thinking politicians are actually the common people.
“Use of the word ‘billionaire’ as a pejorative is morally wrong & dumb,” he tweeted.
‘Morally wrong and dumb’ is essentially the Democratic Party platform at this point.
Billionaires spend their own money.
Politicians spend mine.

Musk added that using the term “billionaire” as a pejorative is dumb if said billionaire “is building products that make millions of people happy.”
He also took a crack at the Democrat Party being controlled by unions, something he has previously suggested helped push him to vote Republican in future elections despite having voted “overwhelmingly for Democrats” in the past.
“The degree to which the unions control the Dems is insane,” Musk said in a follow-up comment to his dare for AOC to run the aforementioned poll. “It’s like watching a sock puppet ‘talk,’ but the hand inside the sock is way too obvious!”

Such a terrible and ill-informed comment, Mr. Musk. Sock puppets are far more intelligent than the progressive Democrat from New York.
