The anti-Trump fervor of some Olympic athletes is getting out of hand. First there was Lindsey Vonn declaring that she doesn’t represent President Trump. Then there was figure skater Adam Rippon taking shot after shot at Vice President Mike Pence.
Now, Gus Kenworthy, a U.S. freestyle skier who competed in the winter Olympic games, sent a seriously rude Tweet about Ivanka Trump leading the U.S. delegation during the Games’ closing ceremony.
So proud of all these people! Everybody here has worked so hard to make it to the Olympics and have the opportunity to walk in the closing ceremony! Well… Everyone except Ivanka. Honestly, tf is she doing here?? pic.twitter.com/sfJKi0VTDb

Well, it’s obvious what Ivanka is doing there, Gus. She’s the daughter of the President of the United States and she’s a senior-level government official.
Here’s a better question to ask: What the hell is wrong with Gus?
Kenworthy came home from the Olympics without a medal – yet he stills finds the need to talk trash about Ivanka. What happened to priorities?
Eric Trump, Ivanka’s brother and son of the President, wasn’t going to let Kenworthy’s comment go without response. This morning on Fox & Friends, he unloaded. From the Daily Mail:
Eric Trump minced no words, calling the tweet ‘disgusting.’
‘It should bother us as a society. Can you imagine if Sasha or Malia [Obama] went over to the Olympics and somebody said that about them? That’s not what the Olympics is about,’ he said.

Eric Trump is right. If any Olympic athlete said anything disparaging about the Obama daughters, the media would crucify them.
But because it’s the Trumps, it’s free game. Funny how that works, huh?
