Governor Kathy Hochul To Illegal Immigrants: New York Is ‘Out Of Space’

Governor Kathy Hochul warned illegal immigrants that the Empire State is "at capacity" and can no longer welcome them with open arms.

There appears to be no more room at the inn.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) warned illegal immigrants that the Empire State is “at capacity” and can no longer welcome them with open arms.

In an interview with NY1 on Wednesday, Hochul celebrated a move by the Biden administration to grant nearly a half-million Venezuelan illegals work permits.

The extension of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) only applies to those who arrived by July 31, 2023.

Anybody after that cut-off point, Hochul warned, needs to be aware that the state is “at capacity” and advised them to look for someplace else to infiltrate.

“We have to let people know that if you’re thinking of coming to New York, we are truly out of space,” she said.

Hocul: New York Can’t Take Any More Illegal Immigrants

It’s been wild watching Democrats of sanctuary cities and sanctuary states morph into anti-illegal immigrant activists nearly overnight.

Hochul is no exception.

Her administration and the vast majority of New York Democrats have explicit policies that encourage migrants to come to the state at taxpayers’ expense.

It was around this time last year that Hochul celebrated the surge of illegals into New York, suggesting that they could use the cheap labor. This is likely why she’s celebrating the TPS approvals.

“I just did a farm tour upstate New York. They’re begging for workers,” Hochul told reporters at the time. “I walked the streets of Manhattan, I walked the streets of Albany — there’s help-wanted signs everywhere.”

She added, “We are a smart, thoughtful country, and can put aside everybody’s passions around this and say: ‘This is actually good for our economy.'”

If that were true, the doors should remain open. Why would Hochul try to dissuade them from coming?

Mayor Eric Adams Also Said There’s No More Room

Hochul is following the lead of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who also told illegal immigrants seeking his city as their prime destination that they couldn’t be accommodated.

“There’s no more room,” he said during a virtual interview with Politico in January. “We’re at that point.”

Things got so bad that Adams began shipping the illegal aliens upstate to within miles of the Canadian border.

He later caused an uproar by pointing out that the invasion of his city was going to “destroy” it.

Adams, like Hochul, is a major hypocrite.

When seeking election as mayor, Adams actively pandered to the pro-illegal, pro-sanctuary vote.

“Yes, New York City will remain a sanctuary city under an Adams administration,” he boasted.

Aside from the aforementioned story about Mary and Joseph being offered no room at the inn, the Bible also mentions how one must reap what they sow.

New York is reaping what it sows with their sanctuary policies, and now the “no vacancy” signs are going up.

Which, incidentally, should really put a stop to it. Because illegal immigrants are very in tune with laws and such.

Democrats talk a good game in accepting and housing illegal aliens, but when they end up on their own doorstep, they can’t walk the walk.
