Georgia Democrat Senate Candidate Warnock “Extremely Uncooperative” During 2002 Child Abuse Police Investigation

Georgia Democrat Senate challenger Rev. Raphael Warnock was “extremely uncooperative” during a 2002 police investigation into child abuse.

“I’ve Never Encountered Resistance Like That At All”

Police records from 2002 allegedly show Reverend Warnock disrupting the investigation into child abuse that took place at a church-affiliated summer camp, which he was the senior pastor for at the time. 

The records, obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, have names redacted, but line up with news reports at the time that reported Warnock and fellow Reverend Mark Andre Wright were arrested and charged with obstructing a police investigation.

The report details two reverends arguing with investigators after insisting their attorney allowed them to sit in on police interviews, stopped officers from using their office for interviews, and instructed other camp counselors not to talk to the police.

“I’ve never encountered resistance like that at all,” Trooper Diane Barry of the state police Child and Sexual Assault Unit in Westminster told The Baltimore Sun at the time, describing Warnock as “extremely uncooperative and disruptive.”

Warnock Accuses Loeffler Of Lying

Senator Kelly Loeffler (R) was accused of being a “liar” by Warnock when she said he was arrested for obstructing an investigation into child abuse. Independent fact checkers initially rated Loeffler’s claim as “mostly false,” according to the Warnock campaign.

“I was working at trying to make sure that young people who were being questioned by law enforcement had the benefit of counsel, a lawyer or a parent,” Warnock said, claiming that “the law enforcement officers actually later thanked me for my cooperation and for helping them.”

“The truth is he was protecting the rights of young people to make sure they had a lawyer or a parent when being questioned,” argued Michael Brewer, the Warnock campaign’s rapid response director, to Fox News, describing Loeffler’s comments as “the lowest of the low.”

A Radical Left-Wing Candidate

Warnock has come under fire in recent weeks for having radical left-wing policies, including claiming that he is a “pro-choice pastor,” something conservatives have said is practically an oxymoron.

Representative Ilhan Omar, part of the far-left “Squad” in Congress, whose membership also boasts Rashida Tlaib and AOC, was one who came out and defended Warnock against comments from 2011 where he said that “nobody can serve God and the military.”

Omar attempted to use Matthews 6:24 to contradict the attacks.

“The lies and smears of the GOP have no boundaries, but this is a disgrace and shameful,” she tweeted. “I know that Warnock is quoting scripture in his sermon here.”

And only last week, Warnock dodged a question on court packing multiple times, something the majority of Americans oppose, claiming he is “not really focused on it.”
