Gallup’s New Poll Says Americans Want More Immigration – If You Wish To Believe That

For the first time in Gallup’s history, more Americans want to increase immigration than decrease it – if you wish to believe that.

The question that asks survey participants is titled “Thinking now about immigrants.” That is, people who come from other countries to live here in the United States, in your view, should immigration be kept at its present level, increased or decreased?

Before anyone blames this on Trump, according to Gallup, this trend has been moving upward for a very long time, slowly but surely.

Again, if you wish to believe it.

I AM A PASSIONATE PERSON, BUT WE CAN’T SAVE THE WORLD

How many of you believe it is time for the local people to take a stand to improve their own countries. I guess when the free lunch is over, it isn’t easy to start again from home.

Clean up your local communities and build local businesses, You won’t have to go to another country to make a living.  Don’t you think almost every country had to start from below standards to get where they are today?

Why would these people continue to vote for corrupt Marxist in their home country?  Can they not see following the lead of the US in government, economy, and equality would improve their nation.

Maybe they should stay home and start fighting for changes that would improve their country. Have some pride in your nation, and make it a better fairer place.

I get disgusted with the cash cow companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. bringing in foreign workers, paying them less, and further eroding our middle class.

Time to stop defending those that want cheap labor at the expense of American citizens-especially those on the lower rung of the economic ladder.

HUNGER IS A GOOD THING; IT MAKES ME WANT TO HAVE A JOB

I wonder how many laborers would work if they didn’t have “food anxiety.” Once working, more significant opportunities arise, and often higher levels of productivity move the worker beyond working due to “food anxiety.”

I don’t want anyone to go without food, but the fear of missing a meal can be good for the couch potato.   Even mice won’t run the maze if you just give them the cheese for free.

Of course, this whole discussion does a massive dodge of the real issue:  A thriving economy means saving far more lives than shutting down the world to avoid COVID-19. I suspect for every one COVID-19 death we avoid, we are bringing on 100 deaths by other means.

We save one 80-year-old = death to 100 younger people. (1:100).

I am not exaggerating. But we can’t consider this because the Left hates Trump too much, so throw your brain in the dumpster and don’t do the math.

ONCE AGAIN, ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL

Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for public benefits such as food stamps, public health insurance (Medicaid), or unemployment insurance benefits. Most pay both payroll and income taxes, either using an Individual Taxpayer Number (ITN) issued to them by the IRS because they lack SSNs or by paying under someone else’s SSN. (Employers pay this directly to the IRS to avoid tax problems.)

In either case, the workers are paying into our tax and Social Security systems but are not eligible to receive benefits – – a net gain for the US, at least in terms of the amount paid in v. benefits received.

The margin of error for Gallup’s poll is +/- 4 percent, so the “present level” and “increased” position is about the same.
