Saying what needs to be said appears to be a dying art, but former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is doing her best to keep it alive and well.
Gabbard spoke on Thursday night to the Independent Women’s Forum where she did not hold back, giving an extremely empowering speech, to this female author’s ear. Gabbard summed up what those who believe in objective truth, especially women, are up against in today’s culture.
Gabbard stated that, “The fomenting of fear, trying to bully us into compliance, trying to bully us into self-censorship is ever present. There’s no space for freedom of speech, for independent thought. It is conform or be canceled.”
She summed up American culture pretty bluntly, saying, “Not only is that mindset as un-American as it gets, you couple that with those in power who use the muscle of law and law enforcement to try to force that compliance.”
Gabbard boldly blasted her former party, the Democrats, for leading the way for cancel culture to take hold, as well as their abject refusal to define what a “woman” is. She also brought up the fact that Democrats do not seem to have any desire to define women in general in American society.
“It is the height of hypocrisy, for those who claim to be feminists, for the Democratic party, who claim to be champions of women, over decades of fighting for the rights of women, fighting for that level and fair playing field across our society. It is the height of hypocrisy to deny there is such a thing as a woman.”

“I’m Not A Biologist” vs. Objective Truth And Reality
Tulsi Gabbard gave a prime example of just how the Democrat Party is “erasing” women.
During her Senate confirmation hearings, new Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was asked by Senator Marsha Blackburn, “Can you define the word ‘woman’?” Brown Jackson’s answer: “I can’t. Not in this context. I’m not a biologist.”
Was it because she really cannot define that word, or that she would not?
Tulsi Gabbard was not done yet skewering the Democrat Party. She responded to Justice Brown Jackson, and the Democrats who voted to put her on the court: “We have an administration in the White House, and woke politicians in Washington, and a Supreme Court Justice who are unable and unwilling to define what a woman is, especially when some of them are women.”
She continued, “And what happens, in our society, when we have people in the highest positions of power, who deny the existence of objective truth? What happens is, then there is no such thing as truth. ther is no such thing as reality. Truth becomes what ever the people in power at any given moment want it to be. We lose the foundation of reality when we cannot acknowledge that there is such a thing as truth.”

Gabbard has battled her former party for a while. In 2020, she was a co-sponsor of the Protect Women’s Sports Act, which clarifies that Title IX protections and sports would be based “on the basis of biological sex as determined at birth by a physician.”

Going Rogue
Tulsi Gabbard made headlines this week when, not only did she buck the Democrat Party trend, she left the party altogether.
And on her way out, she lit a match:
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism.”
She also ripped Democrats for their stances on demonization of law enforcement, being soft on crime, the open border, and funding an endless war in Ukraine. Gabbard followed up her exit from the Democrats on Wednesday with an endorsement for Washington state congressional candidate and former Green Beret Joe Kent. Kent was also endorsed by Donald Trump.
Tulsi Gabbard concluded her speech with a thought that millions of Americans also have: “It’s hard to wrap my head around the state of this nation today.”
