Former Attorney General Bill Barr criticized the Biden administration’s new Disinformation Governance Board, saying it’s not the government’s job to police information.
Barr made the assessment in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF).
“I don’t think that it’s the government’s function to set up a panel on disinformation,” Barr told the outlet.
The attorney general under Presidents Trump and George H.W. Bush also took aim at Nina Jankowicz, the newly minted Executive Director of the Disinformation Governance Board.
Jankowicz herself, on multiple occasions, spread disinformation concerning Hunter Biden’s laptop and Russiagate.
“She doesn’t seem qualified,” Barr opined. “She seems to be a radical.”

Bill Barr Knocks Disinformation Board
Bill Barr has every right to call Nina Jankowicz a ‘radical’ and an unqualified individual to run a government-sponsored ‘disinformation’ board.
Jankowicz helped push a now-debunked claim that Hunter Biden’s ‘laptop from hell’ was actually a product of a Russian disinformation.
Back on the “laptop from hell,” apparently- Biden notes 50 former natsec officials and 5 former CIA heads that believe the laptop is a Russian influence op.

She also made the patently false claim to the Associated Press that the Hunter Biden laptop was “a Trump campaign product.”
Even typically pro-Democrat media outlets have since admitted the reality that Hunter’s laptop was a real and legitimate story.

As for her alternately being called a ‘radical’ and ‘unqualified,’ there have been plenty of examples of that.

If that wasn’t enough for you, here’s a steady ride on the crazy train from the new disinformation czar singing a raunchy parody of a Christmas song.
“I want to be rich, famous, and powerful! Step on all my enemies and never do a thing,” Jankowicz sang in a 2015. “Who do I f**k to be famous and powerful? I’ve done everything I can and now the rest is up to you.”
The lyrics are her own spin on a 1988 song called “My Simple Christmas Wish (Rich, Famous, and Powerful).”

Jankowicz graced America with a Tiktok video of her singing the Mary Poppins tune “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” but with lyrics replaced to address – you guessed it – disinformation.

These lyrics are really something else.
Information laundering is really quite ferocious.
It’s when a huckster takes some lies and makes them sound precocious,
by saying them in Congress or a mainstream outlet,
so disinformation’s origins are slightly less atrocious.

After watching those clips, it’s clear that Jankowicz enjoys parody. Ironic, as her hiring is a parody of what a serious administration would be doing.
And the Biden administration is coming up significantly short when it comes to being taken seriously regarding the Disinformation Governance Board.
Bill Barr called out the disinformation department. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis calls it a ‘Ministry of Truth.’ Senator Rand Paul hammered the DHS for creating the Board and said the government ‘has no clue.’

Even Democrat Representative Jim Himes has said the “government has no business saying that this is disinformation and this is information.”
Barr’s assessment is nothing short of, well … precocious.
