Dr. Anthony Fauci told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” on Thursday that a coronavirus vaccine will “start being implemented and deployed in December.”
Fauci was asked by host Robin Roberts if he had anything to say to those who might be going through “COVID fatigue.”
“The best opposite strategy to locking down is to intensify the public health measures short of locking down.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci Insists ‘Help Is Really On The Way’
The White House Coronavirus Task Force leader promised that early in 2021, vaccinations will be well under way and given to more and more people as time progresses.
Fauci said that America will finally get COVID-19 “under control.”
“I just want to repeat the message that I keep saying over and over again that help is really on the way,” Fauci said on “Good Morning America.”

Fauci was hopeful about how mass vaccination could be expedited.
“You know, if you think of it metaphorically, you know, the cavalry is coming here. Vaccines are going to have a major positive impact,” he said.
“They’re going to start being implemented and deployed in December and as we get into the early part of the year,” he added.

Fauci Has Been Saying A Vaccine Might Be Available In December For Some Time
Will the beginning of next year be a game changer? Fauci seems to think so.
“It’s going to be January, February, March, more and more and more people are going to be able to be vaccinated,” he said. “So, if we could just hang in there, do the public health measures that we’re talking about, we’re going to get this under control.”
“I promise you,” Fauci finished.
Given the politics involved, some might see a correlation between the election being called for Joe Biden and the announcement of a forthcoming vaccine.
But to his credit, Fauci has been saying this for some time.
Dr. Fauci told CNN in May, “I still think that we have a good chance, if all the things fall in the right place, that we might have a vaccine that would be deployable by the end of the year, by November-December.”
