California Governor Gavin Newsom sent a letter to Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland requesting he look into “kidnapping” charges for those involved in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ effort to send illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

It is a letter that needs to be reviewed twice to believe it is actually real, and that Newsom actually thought he had a sound argument.

The California governor announced his ‘formal request’ on Twitter, calling for an “immediate investigation” into Florida’s “inhumane efforts.”

“Several of the individuals who were transported to Martha’s Vineyard have alleged that a recruiter induced them to accept the offer of travel based on false representations that they would be transported to Boston and would receive expedited access to work authorization,” Newsom claimed.

“I urge US DOJ to investigate whether the alleged fraudulent inducement would support charges of kidnapping under relevant state laws.”

Gavin Newsom Wants Kidnapping Charges For DeSantis

The Associated Press reports that Republican governors from red states have insisted any “passengers must sign waivers that the free trips are voluntary.”

Additionally, Christina Pushaw, DeSantis’ rapid response director, has been tweeting images of Democrats in the Florida Legislature who voted for a budget that earmarked $12 million to transport “unauthorized aliens” out of state.

“Almost every Dem voted for it. Now they’re calling [Governor Ron DeSantis] a criminal for following through,” Pushaw tweeted.

DeSantis reportedly sent two planes full of illegal immigrants to deep blue Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday.

The surge of migrants (50 of them) from Central America invading the overwhelmingly white, progressive area prompted local authorities to declare an “unexpected urgent humanitarian situation.”

A handful of migrants involved in the flights have claimed they were told they were being flown to Boston instead.

It Wasn’t ‘Kidnapping’ When Biden Did It

Gavin Newsom’s ploy advocating for kidnapping charges for DeSantis is more an indication that he is simply reacting emotionally to the situation than it is that he has a solid legal argument.

Either that or the Bryl cream is starting to seep into his brain.

Regardless, as absurd the argument may be, would it surprise you if Garland, one of the most politically motivated AGs in the history of the Justice Department, actually pursued an investigation?

Funny though, that neither Newsom or Garland was spitting mad when President Biden was flying illegal immigrants into airports in upstate New York.

The Political Insider reported in June that the Biden administration had increased the number of migrant flights into New York – happening since at least August of 2021 – with an additional airport being utilized to handle the overflow.

A local reporter shared the video and captioned it with a disclaimer stating “officials say flights are legal under U.S. immigration law.”

A New York Post article cited an Immigration and Customs Enforcement source who claimed flights had been ongoing at airports around the country.

Odd how it wasn’t “kidnapping” when Biden does it, but the second DeSantis sends illegal immigrants to an uber-rich playground where most of them could easily have been housed in Barack Obama’s mansion, liberals are in a full-blown panic.

Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
