Dylan Mulvaney has officially turned on Bud Light and launched an attack on the brand after it declined to do a “healing” commercial that was pitched by the 27 year-old transgender influencer.

Mulvaney Pitches Commercial To Bud Light – Gets Shut Down

After costing Bud Light’s parent company Anheuser-Busch over $1.4 billion in sales last year, Mulvaney actually had the nerve to pitch a commercial to Bud Light that was meant to bring about “healing.” Of course, Mulvaney’s plan was to star in the commercial alongside a hunky “cowboy,” but Bud Light wasn’t having any of it.

While speaking at the SXSW festival earlier this week, Mulvaney scolded Bud Light for both not doing the commercial and for not doing more to stand up against “bullying,” according to Daily Mail.

“I did have an idea how to fix last year’s situation,” Mulvaney began, referring to the boycott over last year’s partnership between Bud Light and the transgender influencer. “I come from a comedy background, it can be very healing and it can appeal to both sides.”

“I thought how fun if we’d done a Western commercial, where it was a cowboy at the end of a bar and a trans person on the other (end) and there’s one beer in the center,” Mulvaney added before whistling a western-style soundtrack. “Just because we could have a laugh and to show that as much as these are all very real world things there’s also some compassion, we all like beer. It doesn’t have to be separate.”

Mulvaney Whines About Bud Light

Mulvaney went on to whine that after the Bud Light backlash, “certain brands didn’t even continue speaking with me.”

“I could have been so integral to the solutions but they continued – I think of it like a parent, the parent doesn’t put a stop to something then they bullying can continue,” Mulvaney said. “These brands need to step up and let people know it’s not okay.”

“There is a responsibility that needs to be taken by the brand that there will be protection and support otherwise it’s putting marginalized groups in a really sticky situation,” the transgender influencer stated.

Mulvaney concluded by saying the goal is to bring “trans joy” to the world, and a trans rom com might even be in the works, as the transgender influencer is currently “working on some things!”

Mulvaney Previously Turned On Bud Light

This isn’t the first time Mulvaney has abandoned Bud Light, as the transgender influencer jumped ship almost immediately after the boycott began last year.

“For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse than not hiring a trans person at all,” Mulvaney said in a video posted to social media in June of 2023, according to Billboard. “It gives customers permission to be as transphobic and hateful as they want.”

“And the hate doesn’t end with me. It has serious and grave consequences for the rest of our community,” Mulvaney added. “And we’re customers too. I know a lot of trans and queer people who love beer.”

Mulvaney went on to claim to be “scared” to leave the house, and to be experiencing “a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”

“To turn a blind eye and pretend everything is OK — it just isn’t an option right now,” Mulvaney concluded. “And you might say, ‘But Dylan, I don’t want to get political.’ Babe, supporting trans people, it shouldn’t be political. There should be nothing controversial or divisive about working with us.”

Mulvaney has become a major thorn in Bud Light’s side, and we can only imagine how much the brand regrets ever partnering with the transgender influencer. In the end, other brands should take notice of what happens when a company teams up with someone like Mulvaney!
