Donald Trump Slams Hillary After She Laughs Off Allegations Her Campaign Paid To ‘Spy’ On Him

Donald Trump took Hillary Clinton to task after she dismissed reporter questions and laughed off allegations that her campaign lawyers paid a technology company to ‘spy’ on servers at Trump Tower and the White House.

As The Political Insider reported earlier this week, a filing by Special Counsel John Durham alleges lawyers with the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to infiltrate servers at Trump Tower and the White House.

The motive, according to Durham, appears to have been an effort to “mine Internet data” to “establish ‘an inference’ and ‘narrative’” tying Trump to Russia.

In a statement issued Thursday, Trump refers to Clinton as “one of the most corrupt politicians ever to run for President” and accuses her of figuratively breaking into the White House.

Trump also notes how the media has suddenly gone silent on their biggest story the previous four years.

“She can spy on a Presidential candidate and ultimately, the President of the United States—and the now totally discredited Fake News Media does everything they can not to talk about it,” he griped.

Hillary Laughs Off Spying Allegations Against Donald Trump

Earlier in the day, Hillary Clinton spoke at the New York Democratic Convention in what many consider a major comeback speech and laughed off allegations that she ‘spied’ on Donald Trump.

“We can’t get distracted, whether it’s by the latest culture war nonsense, or some new right-wing lie on Fox or Facebook – by the way they’ve been coming after me again lately in case you might have noticed,” she joked.

“It’s funny – the more trouble Trump gets into the wilder the charges and conspiracies about me seem to get.”

Whatever comes of the Durham filing and the case against her lawyer, it’s clear Hillary Clinton doesn’t take allegations that she spied on Donald Trump very seriously.

When confronted by a lone reporter earlier in the week, Clinton waved them away and ignored any questions.

Hammers Republicans

Surrounded by the friendly confines of the New York Democratic Party Convention, Clinton was far more emboldened in her response to allegations she paid to spy on Trump.

She told the audience that Fox News is simply amplifying the claims as a means to cover for Trump’s own troubles.

“So now his [Trump’s] accountants have fired him. And investigations draw closer to him. And on the right the noise machine gets turned up,” said Clinton.

“Fox leads the charge with accusations against me counting on (their) audience to fall for it again.”

Ironic in that she is counting on Democrats in the audience to fall for her version of the story once again.

Fox didn’t file the motion. Special Counsel John Durham did.

In her address, Clinton went on to suggest the Republican Party “officially embraces violent insurrection” and “let Donald Trump trash our democracy.”

She said America is in “uncharted territory” when “the violent insurrection is accepted as legitimate political discourse, when storming the Capitol, assaulting police officers trying to overturn an election are being normalized.”

How quickly she forgets that House Democrats tried objecting to the certification of electoral votes for Donald Trump following the 2016 presidential election on 11 separate occasions.
