On Monday night, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted the Biden administration for a dereliction of duty when it comes to the federal government’s poor job in protecting America’s borders.
DeSantis has been a frequent critic of Biden’s immigration record during his time in office.
DeSantis made his comments during on interview on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”

DeSantis: ‘If you are facilitating Biden’s policies, which is effectively a mass human smuggling operation…’
The governor said it now falls to the states to protect the border, since the federal government cannot or will not do the job.
“So, the border is obviously a disaster,” DeSantis said. “And some people say, ‘Well, that’s a problem for Texas or Arizona.’ Well, actually, the Biden administration puts people on planes and flies them into Florida in the wee hours of the morning.”
“So they’ve done over 70 flights in the last six months, dumped people here,” DeSantis added.
He continued, “Our view is, if they are going to be dumping, we want to be able to facilitate transfer to places like Delaware. And so we have $8 million in my new budget to be able to do that.”
DeSantis had previously mentioned sending illegal immigrants to Biden’s home state back in November.
LOL! @RonDeSantisFL says he will send illegal immigrants to Delaware — Joe Biden’s home state.
“If he’s not gonna support the border being secure, then he should be able to have everyone there.”

DeSantis explained, “But we also look to these carriers that the federal government’s contracting with, and we’re going to pass legislation that says, If you are facilitating Biden’s policies, which is effectively a mass human smuggling operation, you are not going to be eligible to do business with the state of Florida, or other local governments.”
DeSantis: ‘We have a responsibility to fight back. And that’s what we’re doing’
Florida’s governor wasn’t done yet.
“And we’re going to charge you restitution for each individual that you’re bringing because, yes, they’re drugs, they’re crimes,” DeSantis added. “But you also have things with health care costs, education, all these services that get taxed because of Biden’s reckless policies.”
“And so, we have a responsibility to fight back,” he finished. “And that’s what we’re doing.”
DeSantis has been the strongest elected Republican in taking on the Biden administration, sometimes with a bit of humor.
Last month, the governor signed a bill blocking various vaccine mandates while in Brandon, Florida, at the Brandon Honda car dealership – riffing on the “Let’s Go Brandon” phenomena.
