David Tuck, a Polish immigrant to the United States who survived the Holocaust and detainment in multiple concentration camps, including the Lodz ghetto, has a simple message for Democrats comparing illegal immigrant border separations to Nazi Germany – “Wake up.”
“Look it up,” he said in an interview with the Daily Caller. “This is not the Holocaust.”
You wouldn’t know it by watching the media and Democrats perpetually (and without evidence) portraying detention centers for illegal immigrant children as concentration camps.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) is one of the more prominent lawmakers to make the ludicrous comparison of illegal immigrant detention centers – the same ones operating under previous administrations – to internment camps and Nazi Germany.
“This policy of family separation reminds us of the cattle cars of Nazi Germany when children were separated from their parents and marched to supposed showers,” Blumenthal said in a statement devoid of facts. “It reminds us of the Japanese internment camps. It reminds us of all the darkest periods.”

Perhaps Blumenthal should consider having a conversation with Mr. Tuck.
“I don’t believe it when I heard it,” Tuck said in response to Blumenthal. “They know nothing of the Holocaust.”
“They are politicians, looking to get paid,” he said before making an analogy comparable to liberals’ over-the-top reaction to Laura Ingraham’s comments. (RELATED: Laura Ingraham Courts Controversy by Calling Migrant Facilities ‘Summer Camps’).

Summer camps, or …
When asked to compare these detention centers to actual concentration camps, Tuck responded, “This is a country club.”
“I was given a piece of bread in the morning. A piece of bread in the evening,” Tuck said, “I had to survive with my life. I have a number on my arm to prove it — from Auschwitz.”
The Holocaust survivor went on to explain the rigorous process he had to follow in becoming a legal immigrant to the United States, including “five years of recuperation, paperwork and applications.”
In other words, he didn’t just cross the border.
“They want to come to America. So did I,” Tuck explained to advocates of illegal immigration. “But you have to know who is coming in. It is wrong to separate the kids from the parents. But to call it a concentration camp? That is wrong. It’s a country club.”
Democrats should listen to Tuck and stop invoking the Holocaust simply because they disagree with President Trump’s policy. Such rhetoric is an insult to those who actually survived the Holocaust and should not be tolerated.
