By all accounts, the reign of President Joe Biden has left his party in such a pickle that hoards of Democrat lawmakers know what is about to happen to them in November, and they have headed for the exits.

With Biden’s failures stacking up, a weak and unpopular Vice President in Kamala Harris, and the haunting specter (for Democrats) of a possible triumphant return of Donald Trump, Democrats could turn to a gimmick, a maneuver that will turn Americans’ heads.

Commentator Myra Adams thinks she knows just what could be in store: former First Lady Michelle Obama.

The Latest Idea

2024 could be a sticky situation for Democrats – especially if they get blown out in this year’s midterms.

Biden’s approval ratings are in the basement, both overall and on the major issues.

A recent Harvard poll shows Trump trouncing Biden by six points in a hypothetical rematch.

Vice President in Kamala Harris isn’t any more popular than Joe. She has a Real Clear Politics average of 37.7% favorable and 52.2% unfavorable.

The idea of Michelle Obama entering the race might just be crazy like a fox.

From a pop culture standpoint, The Hill reports that the recent YouGov poll of 2021’s most popular women, Michelle Obama topped the list. Kamala Harris came in at 11, Hillary Clinton was 12.

So while it’s entirely hypothetical, the question for Democrats is, “why not?”

Hillary Beats Joe

Biden has fallen so far, so fast that even Hillary is looking good to some Democrats.

In a hypothetical matchup between Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, if that contest were held today, Biden loses to Hillary in Florida by a margin of 46%-43%.

The idea of resurrecting Hillary Clinton is relatively new. Last month, a Wall Street Journal Op-ed written by Andrew Stein and former Clinton pollster Doug Shoen illustrated how, with the negative poll numbers for both Biden and Harris, it could be possible for Hillary to swoop in and fill the gap.

Following that Op-ed, the Daily Mail reports that a senior advisor to former President Bill Clinton said there was, “a ‘good chance’ she would run if Biden lost Congress in the midterms.”

All this means at least one thing: 2024 could be the wildest presidential election year yet, which is really saying something.
