A new collusion bombshell was just uncovered – and it doesn’t have to do with President Donald Trump and the Russians. Rather, it’s what we expected all along. A high-ranking figure in the FBI and lawyers for the Democrat Party met to talk about Donald Trump and the Russians – before the FBI went to the FISA Court for a warrant on Trump’s campaign. So – the Democrats paid foreign spy Christopher Steele to dig up dirt on Trump, the resulting dossier of bogus information being the source the FBI then used to secure a FISA warrant on Trump’s campaign.
Take a second for that to sink in.
The only collusion in the 2016 election involved the Democrats, Hillary Clinton, the FBI, and foreign spies like Christopher Steele. Up until this new revelation, it was simply known that the Clinton campaign helped fund the dossier by paying the firm Fusion GPS to commission it. We also knew that the dossier was used by the FBI to bolster a FISA request to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The FBI played a much larger role than previously understood. Now we know that elements of our own government tried to rig the election against Donald Trump.
While one could possibly previously argue that the FBI just didn’t know they were being fed bogus partisan information when they applied for a FISA warrant using Steele’s dossier, this new revelation makes that all but impossible.
According to The Hill:
- Congressional investigators have confirmed that a top FBI official met with Democratic Party lawyers to talk about allegations of Donald Trump-Russia collusion weeks before the 2016 election, and before the bureau secured a search warrant targeting Trump’s campaign.
- Former FBI general counsel James Baker met during the 2016 season with at least one attorney from Perkins Coie, the Democratic National Committee’s private law firm.
- That means the FBI had good reason to suspect the dossier was connected to the DNC’s main law firm and was the product of a Democratic opposition-research effort to defeat Trump — yet failed to disclose that information to the FISA court in October 2016, when the bureau applied for a FISA warrant to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Since the FBI was surveilling Page, that also means anyone else that Page spoke with would also be picked up on surveillance. Obviously, they believed that would include then-candidate Donald Trump. For as much as Hillary Clinton liked to pretend the FBI was against her, they were doing her bidding all along.
In addition to Christopher Steele, who is a former British spy, British intelligence also played a role in the Spygate scandal. Former CIA director John Brennan played a large role in relaying British intelligence on the Trump campaign to the FBI. The British intelligence agency GCHQ had been gathering intelligence on members of the Trump campaign (which they claim was accidental), but certainly, it wasn’t accidental when the head of the GCHQ, Robert Hannigan, flew down to Washington to share that intelligence with Brennan in the summer of 2016.
Does that foreign interference in our election not count because they weren’t Russians?
Take a second to chew this over. When people talk about “draining the swamp,” or the “Deep State,” this is exactly what they are talking about. Elements of our own CIA and FBI tried to rig an election – that’s how much they hate Donald Trump.
The question is, why?
