CNN Admits Trump Solving North Korean Crisis Would Make Him a Great President

When you get CNN to say something positive about President Trump, you know something newsworthy just happened.

In case you were living under a rock yesterday evening, news surfaced that President Trump agreed to talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to discuss denuclearization of the rogue nation.

The historic meeting is tentatively set to take place by May, with North Korea agreeing to suspend nuclear and missile testing while negotiations are in place – a condition the United States demanded.

The President celebrated on social media, informing followers that the talks involved full denuclearization, not simply a temporary freeze.

While media outlets will spend most of their time chastising the President for meeting with an evil dictator, it’s an important reminder that their muse, Barack Obama, always championed such talks with even the most extreme leaders. He did, after all, pay ransom to the mullahs in Iran for their nuclear deal. So the media criticism will, and should, fall on deaf ears.

Yet, in the midst of all the excitement, CNN host Erin Burnett let slip with a proclamation that probably shocked her viewers.

“Just an extraordinary thing and of course opening the door to the big question,” Burnett reported. “If President Trump can truly solve this problem, that would be going down as a great President and there’s no way around that. That is the reality here.”

Who knew somebody at CNN was even capable of making a factual statement, let alone one that praises President Trump?

It’s a big ‘if’ to be sure. Nobody knows what Kim Jong Un will try next, and nobody knows for sure if he’ll suddenly back out or if he’s playing a game.

But it doesn’t take away from the historic nature of this announcement.

Former White House Communications Director under Barack Obama, Jen Psaki, admitted this agreement is something long sought by “American presidents for decades.”

“In that sense, he deserves credit,” she said. “This is far preferable to going to war or taking military action by all accounts.”

It took Trump to achieve something previous presidents had tried for decades. Even the liberal media is praising him for that.
