Civility Alert: CNN Crew Caught Joking About Trump’s Plane Crashing

CNN plane crash Trump

From the ‘You Have to See This to Believe It’ department, we present to you video of a CNN anchor and crew caught on tape joking about Donald Trump’s airplane crashing.

CNN correspondent Suzanne Malveaux and the crew were waiting outside the Carrier plant in Indiana, as Trump was set to arrive for a press conference regarding the jobs he saved.

A producer off air was relaying signals they would use when Trump’s plane arrived and when it had landed.

That’s when the producer relayed a symbol to Malveuax for a different scenario.

“That means his plane’s crashed…just kidding,” the person can be heard saying, while Malveux smiled and stared into the screen wide-eyed.

Watch the clip below . . .

Un-freaking-believable.

Via the Washington Free Beacon:

While making final preparations to go on air, an off-camera voice could be heard discussing the estimated arrival time of the Trump plane. The president-elect was traveling to give a speech on the recent decision of Carrier Corp., an air conditioning company, to keep about 1,000 jobs in Indiana that it originally planned to send to Mexico. Carrier made the announcement to keep the jobs in the U.S. after discussions with the incoming Trump administration and the state of Indiana agreeing to give United Technologies, of which Carrier is a part, $7 million in tax breaks.

The CNN crew member spoke with correspondent Suzanne Malveaux, who was on camera, and said, “If I do this, it means he has landed.”

“That means his plane has crashed, no I’m kidding,” the crew member said with a laugh.

Malveaux smiled in response to the crew member’s comment for several seconds. Shortly after the joke, Malveaux went live on CNN and reported that the Trump plane was going to touch down soon.

Social media users were quick to point out what would happen if say, somebody at Fox News joked about Obama or Hillary’s plane crashing.

Others looked forward to the inevitable apology:

That apology came swiftly according to Mediate, as CNN issued the following statement:

“An unfortunate and inappropriate remark was made by one of our producers off camera yesterday. We have apologized to the Trump transition team, and the producer has been disciplined.”

What’s really unfortunate in their view is that something which demonstrates their underlying disdain for Trump managed to get out to the public.
