CNN Fires 3 Unvaccinated Employees Citing ‘Zero-Tolerance Policy’

CNN president Jeff Zucker, in a memo to staff, announced that three employees who went into the office unvaccinated have been fired.

CNN president Jeff Zucker, in a memo to staff, announced that three employees who went into the office unvaccinated have been fired.

In the memo, first obtained by the New York Times, Zucker explained that the firing had been the result of the network’s ‘zero-tolerance policy’ toward unvaccinated employees.

“In the past week, we have been made aware of three employees who were coming to the office unvaccinated,” he announced. “All three have been terminated.”

“Let me be clear — we have a zero-tolerance policy on this,” Zucker warned.

The Times writes that CNN’s move is “one of the first known examples of a major American corporation’s terminating workers for ignoring a workplace vaccination mandate.”

CNN’s Jeff Zucker went on to suggest that the network would further be enforcing their zero-tolerance policy towards the unvaccinated.

“We expect that in the weeks ahead, showing proof of vaccination may become a formal part” of being allowed into CNN workspaces, Zucker added.

“You need to be vaccinated to come to the office,” he continued. “And you need to be vaccinated to work in the field, with other employees, regardless of whether you enter an office or not.”

The New York Times indicates that CNN is also forcing mask mandates for their employees at major office locations with the exception of New York because that state hasn’t returned to masking.

CNN’s Zero-Tolerance Policy

While CNN has a zero-tolerance policy for employees who choose not to get the vaccine, they have a greater than zero-tolerance policy when it comes to other curious workplace matters.

For example, masturbating in front of your colleagues? CNN has a somewhat tolerant policy.

CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin took a leave of absence after being caught masturbating during a Zoom meeting with colleagues at the New Yorker.

He made a triumphant but awkward return, however, in June.

Speaking of perpetual jerks, CNN also has an incredibly high-tolerance policy when it comes to anchors who are portrayed as straight news journalists actively working on behalf of Democrats to combat sexual misconduct allegations.

Such is the case of Chris Cuomo, who was implicated in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s report on his brother’s scandal.

A scandal that ranged from verbal harassment of women to a potential sexual assault of one aide.

The younger Cuomo, according to the report, helped craft his brother’s defense and was “regularly provided with confidential and often privileged information about state operations and helped make decisions that impacted State business and employees.”

That man still has a job with CNN.

Cuomo was never even reprimanded when he, by his own admission, broke quarantine while infected with coronavirus and then faked his own emergence from a basement lockdown days later.

But, by golly, those unvaccinated lower-level, presumable off-air talent employees … there is no tolerance for that kind of behavior.
