Global warming alarmist Greta Thunberg has been nominated for the once-prestigious Nobel Peace Prize for the second year in a row.
Thunberg, best known for her climate change temper tantrum before the United Nations, and whose social media accounts are actually run by her father – allegedly – was nominated by a pair of lawmakers in Sweden.
They claim she “has worked hard to make politicians open their eyes to the climate crisis,” the Associated Press reports, adding that “action for reducing our emissions and complying with the Paris Agreement is therefore also an act of making peace.”
Late last year, Thunberg was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year.
This award went down the toilet when Obama won for diddly squat.

What a Joke
The Nobel Peace Prize became a joke many years ago when it went from being an honor bestowed upon people making a difference in the world to a popularity contest for underachievers.

That was right around the time Barack Obama won for no other reason than high expectations. Expectations that eventually became failures.
Ex-Nobel secretary, Geir Lundestad, admitted that awarding the committee’s esteemed Peace Prize to Obama in 2009 was a mistake.
“No Nobel Peace Prize ever elicited more attention than the 2009 prize to Barack Obama,” Lundestad wrote in his memoir.
“Even many of Obama’s supporters believed that the prize was a mistake,” he added. “In that sense, the committee didn’t achieve what it had hoped for.”
Thunberg receiving the award would be just as much a mistake.

Does She Deserve It?
I guess if a ‘peace prize’ should be awarded to somebody who unnecessarily incites panic and fear about the world ending, then Thunberg is your gal.
But we’re not sure how ‘peace’ meshes exactly with someone who threatened to put world leaders “up against the wall” if they don’t bow to her will.
Even those who nominated Thunberg saying she “worked hard to make politicians open their eyes” is a ridiculous assertion.
The teenager does not reach out to those who might not hold the same views on climate change. She recently indicated she “wouldn’t have wasted my time” when asked what might have been discussed in a conversation with President Trump.
Thunberg has also been challenged to a debate on climate change by a fellow teenager, conservative CJ Pearson, and has thus far refused.
How is avoiding challenges a means of opening anybody’s eyes?
