Chris Cuomo’s Book On ‘Harsh Truths’ About Trump Canceled After He Was Fired By CNN

Chris Cuomo had his book deal regarding the "harsh truths" of the Trump administration canceled by his publisher just days after being fired by the network.

News for Chris Cuomo just keeps getting worse. On Tuesday, the former CNN anchor had his book deal regarding the “harsh truths” of the Trump administration canceled by his publisher – just days after being fired by the network.

The book promised to “analyze the harsh truths” that were exposed by “the pandemic and the Trump years” and devise an outline for how America could fix itself.

Glass houses, Chris. Fix yourself first.

The book, originally titled Deep Denial, ironically a state both Cuomo brothers have perpetually resided in, was set to be published in the fall of 2022 through the William Morrow imprint Custom House, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Custom House does not intend to publish the Chris Cuomo book,” a spokesperson for the publisher said.

Hits Keep Coming For Chris Cuomo

Chris Cuomo was fired over the weekend following a New York Attorney General report regarding multiple sexual harassment claims against his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Documents released with that report show the anchor used media sources to track down information on sexual harassment accusers against his brother.

Shortly thereafter, the man often referred to by critics as ‘Fredo’ announced he was stepping away from his radio program on Sirius XM as well.

CNN announced that Cuomo was being fired not only for his efforts to use his media sources and connections to aide his brother, but also for a previous allegation of sexual harassment.

Shelley Ross, a former executive producer at ABC News, accused Cuomo of sexually harassing her when the pair worked together at the network.

Ross revealed her claims in a guest essay for the New York Times in September.

“When Mr. Cuomo entered the Upper West Side bar, he walked toward me and greeted me with a strong bear hug while lowering one hand to firmly grab and squeeze the cheek of my buttock,” she wrote.

Cuomo, according to his former producer, said he could “do this now that you’re no longer my boss.”

It’s unclear if this is the sexual harassment claim CNN is referring to, or if there is a new, previously undisclosed matter that came to light.

Cuomo Plans To Fight Back

Chris Cuomo, as The Political Insider reported this week, plans to sue CNN after having been fired.

Cuomo is reportedly preparing to sue his former network for $18 million.

What really piqued everyone’s curiosity were claims that network President Jeff Zucker knew all about the anchor’s efforts to help brother Andrew Cuomo fight off sexual misconduct allegations.

“They [Cuomo and Zucker] were widely known to be extremely close and in regular contact, including about the details of Mr. Cuomo’s support for his brother,” a spokesman said.

“There were no secrets about this, as other individuals besides Mr. Cuomo can attest.”

Reports have thus far have failed to indicate whether or not Cuomo was paid an advance for the book or how much that might have been.

Less than a month ago, Andrew Cuomo also received some bad book-related news.

A New York state ethics commission voted overwhelmingly to rescind approval of Governor Cuomo’s $5.1 million book deal. The memoir celebrated his handling of the pandemic despite thousands of elderly patients dying of COVID in nursing homes during his tenure.

That book deal was rescinded due to “material omissions and misrepresentations.”

Those misrepresentations center on Cuomo’s alleged use of state personnel and resources to write and edit the book that made him millions.

Andrew Cuomo is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) over numerous sexual harassment claims.

The New York Post adds that the DOJ is also probing the Cuomo “administration’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, its cover-up of nursing home deaths, and Cuomo’s $5.1 coronavirus memoir.”

Chris Cuomo should write a book about Zucker and CNN’s knowledge of his other efforts to interject himself into stories regarding his brother’s scandals. Or to aide any other Democrat lawmakers behind the scenes.

Show us where the bodies are buried, Chris. Now that’s a book we’d love to read.
