Cherokee Nation Denounces Elizabeth Warren’s DNA Test Claims

While everyone mocks Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test showing that she might be 1/1024th Native American, the Cherokee Nation has taken the results much more seriously, and not because they’re ready to welcome her into the tribe. In an official statement, the tribe said that “a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong.” The statement further accused Warren of making a mockery of DNA tests, and “undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”

It’s unclear why exactly Warren thought this DNA test would help her cause. Conservative critics accused her of faking her Indian heritage, when it was thought she was only 1/32nd and 1/64th Cherokee, at best. In turn, Warren responded by proving she’s possibly even less Native than we thought. Rachel Dolezal is probably more black than Warren is Native.

President Trump Responds

Trump fired off a number of mocking tweets this morning in response to the test.

Yesterday, when initially asked about the results, Trump said “I hope she’s [Warren] running for president because I think she’d be very easy. I hope that she is running. I do not think she’ll be difficult at all. She’ll destroy the country. She’ll make the country into Venezuela. With that being said, I don’t want to say bad things about her because I hope she would be one of the people that would get through the process. It’s going to be a long process for the Democrats.”

Warren’s History of Lies

Warren’s history of lying about her Native heritage is extensive. The Daily Caller’s Benny Johnson has put together an exhaustive list showing Warren claiming victimhood based on nearly non-existent heritage:

Surprisingly, there are liberals coming to Warren’s defense. The Democratic Coalition Scott Dworkin is somehow under the impression that Warren did in fact prove she’s Native. I guess he knows more than the Cherokee Nation does?

Hopefully Warren (and others) keep it up when she inevitably runs in 2020. She’s convinced few others besides herself.
