Liberals Are STILL Trying to Destroy ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’

Charlie Brown Christmas

It’s almost become a part of the season itself – liberals, in the weeks leading up to Christmas do their best to destroy a children’s holiday classic because it happens to have a Bible verse included in the script.

Leftists and atheists hate – no loathe – the holiday special A Charlie Brown Christmas, though it has long been a favorite play for kids and parents alike, as well as an animated TV special aired around this time of year.

They take exception to the religious content of the program. And this year is no different, as a legal battle is being waged in a Texas school where a nurse’s aide had the audacity to decorate her door with a quote from Linus about the true meaning of Christmas.

The aide is being forced to remove her decoration.

Via the Washington Post:

The battle began last week, when Dedra Shannon, a nurse’s aide at Patterson Middle School in Killeen, Tex., scrawled that Linus quote on a six-foot-tall poster, added a cutout of the character and the famously sparse Christmas tree, and taped it to the nurse’s office door.

On Dec. 7, the principal asked Shannon to remove the Linus quote or take down the poster altogether.

On Dec. 8, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said the removal was “an attack on religious liberty.”

“Our employees are free to celebrate the Christmas and holiday season in the manner of their choosing,” the district said Friday in a statement obtained by TV station KWTX-10. “However, employees are not permitted to impose their personal beliefs on students.”

At their meeting Tuesday night, which drew an audience of nearly 100 people, the school board refused.

Its members voted 6 to 1 in support of the district, but ultimately recommended a study on the matter, reported the Killeen Daily Herald. One school board member said her understanding of the law wasn’t clear, and school board president Terry Delano, who voted in favor of restoring the Linus poster, expressed deep concerns about the greater ramifications of the controversy.

“The poster did not coerce anyone to be a Christian, in my opinion,” Delano said, according to the Daily Herald. “If this continues to be the trend, there will come a day where we can’t say ‘Christ-mas.’ ”

Here is the offending door …

Charlie Brown Christmas

The irony is almost certainly lost on people that complain about such religious symbols, phrases, and decorations– that they take exception to others allegedly ‘forcing’ their religion upon them, and fight back by forcing their non-religion on those same people.

Since this quote from A Charlie Brown Christmas is so triggering to liberals, we present to you the easily most offensive portion – Linus, quoting scripture in an attempt to quantify the true meaning of Christmas.

And here is the transcript:

Linus’ King James version scripture reading from Luke 2: 8-14, read:

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

That’s what Christmas is all about Patterson Middle School. That’s what Christmas is all about liberals.

Stop ruining everybody else’s good time and holiday cheer just because you have a shallow sense of self-worth and have to validate your own existence by bringing others down.
